Camp Wa-Klo empowers a girl to be confident, independent, and have a voice. Throughout her time maneuvering through social situations in her cabin, choosing what new activities she wants to try, and speaking in front of the camp community during Reflections, there will be ample opportunities for your daughter to make connections and grow!

At Wa-Klo we recognize that at each stage of a girl's life, she needs something a bit different. Because of this, we have a progressive program. Our Juniors and Mids are the youngest campers at camp and because of this, most of them are first time campers!
Services
Camp Wa-Klo for Girls is the ultimate summer camp experience where a girl makes friendships for life. At Wa-Klo, a girl can zip down the zip line, hike a mountain, and shoot archery all in one day! We offer the full camp experience during our 7 week session. Campers can also choose to come for a mini-camp experience with our 4 and 3 week sessions.
There's a camp stay suited for everyone! We have a 3, 4, or 7-week option for grades 2-10; a 2-week option for grades 2-5; and a Leadership Training Group (LTG) for girls in grades 11-12. The 1st session is completely different than the 2nd session, so the 7-week camper gets a full, unique experience with no program repeats!
Camp Wa-Klo's beautiful facilities are based on the truly spectacular Thorndike Pond. Wa-Klo is conveniently located just two hours from Boston in the Southwest corner of New Hampshire. Surrounded by woods and trees and an exquisite view of Mount Monadnock. We are able to accommodate most groups and are happy to work with each individual group to ensure that their experience is unique and memorable.
Before your daughter steps foot on Pine Drive, she will already feel like a Wa-Klo girl! Tammy, our director, visits every family and does video chats with those she cannot meet to make sure she knows every girl before the summer begins! Tammy also video chats with returning families because as we know, a lot can change in the course of a school year.
When your daughter signs up, she will be matched with a Big Sister who has been to Wa-Klo before. We try to match Little Sisters with Big Sisters from their area when possible. We also host gatherings in the spring for new and returning families to get to know each other prior to the summer. Then throughout the summer, her Big sister and she will spend time together as your daughter acclimates to camp.

I attended my favorite summer camp for six wonderful years! I've also been fortunate to meet so many international friends whom I've known since 1990, and it's extremely reassuring that we still care about each other! Also, both of my current careers in teaching and photography were established there by the amazing directors during high school in 1993!

This is an awesome place for girls to have a summer vacation. The camp is full of activities, each with training to help educate and then perform. Things such as archery, fencing, windsurfing, waterskiing, farming, and horseback riding. With about ninety acres of property, there is a lot to do and plenty of room to do it. The food served is healthy, comes with options, and taste delicious. Good owners and employees run the Camp.

This is a beautiful camp, well-run, where even my extremely picky eater thrives. I'm so glad I choose it for my daughter.

There are not enough words to describe how Wa-klo has impacted my girls lives. All three of my girls go for seven weeks and I never thought they’d go away to camp at all. Waklo is home. It is truly camp! So many water activities, arts, amazing sports choices...The options seem limitless. And there is no other place in our lives where being a female is so revered. The all female staff really helps build these girls self esteem, self image, and self worth. They encourage the girls to step outside the box, take a risk, believe in themselves. The girls just get to be themselves, no drama, no “mean

Camp wa-klo is a wonderful place where girls can be girls. A summer camp where fun is had the moment the campers wake up to the moment lights go out for bed. The best time spending summer in the woods, on Thorndike Pond, at the foot of mount monadnock, glorious to view.

This is a really fun camp for girls 6 to 18. The cabins are really nice, and the food is delicious! It is a really friendly camp. The activities I would recommend are archery, pet care, and 3D art! I went for the first time when I was 9 and I desided to go again the next year. The camp directors name is, Tammi Fortune. I would send you daughter here, it is a place to make memories and make new friends!
