Wilson Consulting Group, PC (WCG) was founded by Mark Wilson in 1999. He envisioned a Transportation Engineering firm that would build long lasting, personal relationships founded on mutual respect and trust with those it would serve, in the overall pursuit of providing high quality, common sense, and economical engineering solutions to a vast range of clients.
Infrastructure surrounds us and allows us to live out our daily lives. Most government entities, corporations, and some non-profit groups own large pools of assets that need to be managed and maintained to maximize life cycles.
A comprehensive Asset Management Plan or Capital Improvement Plan provides a performance assessment, life cycle planning, risk assessment, financial plan, valuation, and process improvements that will provide the guidance needed to maintain existing assets.

Construction projects on the surface look like simply following a set of plans and specifications to make an owner's and engineer's ideas a reality. Anyone who has ever constructed a project knows that the final product requires interim stages which require various engineered plans to ensure proper construction and worker safety.
Every project begins with an idea, a purpose, and a need. We help our clients sort through the feasibility of various options and help craft a general scope, schedule, and a funding budget for the project. Through our collaborative analysis with stakeholders we help identify potential funding options that best support the goals of the project.
The modern transportation system is multi-modal and should serve the entire community by re-connecting, enhancing, and strengthening neighborhood connections. Short trips within neighborhoods and communities by walking or cycling should be made available to the maximum extent possible and a successful, healthy, and forward thinking transportation system can no longer be solely based on the quickest A to B motorized connections.

There is also a Learning Resource Centre with an open learning area and internet enabled PC's. There are also a number of computer suites for classes around the building. Many companies, including Alstom, Cable and Wireless, Jaguar Landrover, Rolls Royce and Telent, send their apprentices to this centre. There is a large workshop area for the Motor Vehicle courses with vehicles donated by manufacturers for use by the college and students to repair and maintain. There is a traditional engineering workshop, equipped with lathes, milling machines and grinding machines. There is also a materials lab
