Our practices specialize in conservative treatment of gum disease, cosmetic procedures to aesthetically enhance your smile, and dental implants that can replace single or multiple missing teeth. We also diagnose and treat oral pathology. Although no one likes to go to the doctor or dentist, we strive to make your visits with us as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we are very conservative in our treatment recommendations and limit surgery to the areas where it is absolutely necessary. Many times, the early stages of periodontal disease are best treated with non-surgical periodontal therapy. Even in severe cases, non-surgical periodontal therapy often precedes surgical therapy.
Rapid extrusion with fiberotomy as an alternative to traditional crown lengthening modalities is described. Given appropriate anatomic conditions, rapid extrusion with fiberotomy may be utilized as a viable and esthetic crown lengthening procedure. Dr. Charles Schwimer offers a wide array of SPoT themed courses, encompassing didactic, hands-on, and live surgery, he is able to provide educational training regardless of the clinician's skill level.
I have been a patient of Dr. Schwimer's for 3 + years now and have had several procedures done including a frenectomy, bone graft, deep cleaning and recently a dental implant. I am consistently impressed with Dr. Schwimer and the amount of time he spends with me to carefully review my dental concerns.
Periodontal diseases are infections of the gums that gradually destroy the support of your natural teeth. Dental plaque is the primary cause of gum disease in genetically-susceptible individuals. Bacteria found in plaque produce toxins or poisons that irritate the gums. They may cause them to turn red, swell, and bleed easily.

I came to Dr. Schwimer quite unexpectedly. I was laid off from my job, and my insurance was going to run out at the end of the month. My dentist said I needed to see a periodontist. I was able to get an appointment the next day. Not only did I have periodontal disease, I had a tooth that needed to be pulled. He pulled the tooth, and placed an implant in. I continue to see Dr. Schwimer and I’m happy to say I have a healthy mouth.

The service itself was fine, but their ethics are deplorable. If you do schedule with them, I would recommend insisting on a Predetermination of Benefits to avoid being fleeced.
For background, they assured me that they took my insurance and even called in advance for an estimate. I was then billed roughly $1,000 more than the estimated $700 for a 20 minute scaling. The office tried to deflect and blame my insurance, but the real problem is that they're out of network for ALL dental plan providers, and never felt it was appropriate to explain that (even after I specifically asked if they took

I do not like going to the dentist to get my teeth cleaned, let alone having to see a specialist! Dr. Schwimer, Shelia, Veronica, and Jane are by far the BEST of the BEST and I highly recommend him for periodontal care and dental implants. Staff is VERY friendly and ALWAYS makes me feel COMFORTABLE! I open the door for an appointment, and the first thing I see are smiling faces. Dr. Schwimer does AWESOME work and ensures I am okay throughout each procedure I have received! He is an absolute perfectionist ! It is VERY obvious that he loves what he does! I came in to see Dr Schwimer regarding an implant that everyone else was afraid to attempt to place. He took the time to explain to me how the process works and we set forward. My dentist looked at it and was amazed at the level of work that done. I went back for a wisdom tooth issue as well and again, it was resolved. Finding a Periodontist that is at the top of charts is extremely difficult and I am glad i found him and his office as well. Everyone was extremely friendly.

I've been going for periodontal cleanings a couple times a year. The hygienist Jane is excellent - she's the reason I go there - and the office workers are all very nice. Dr Schwimer barely looks in my mouth and charges for evaluations. He no longer accepts insurance of any kind but doesn't tell existing patients until they receive the bill, so it's especially out of line when he recently spent 5 seconds looking at my gums for $90 "comprehensive evaluation" and $180 cleaning.

I would recommend Dr. Schwimer to anyone that needs excellent dental and periodontal care. He knows exactly what needs done, does it with care and skill and is one of the most understanding and compassionate people on the planet. In a day and age where it is trendy to put aside the patients care because of time, he is the opposite...very caring and you can reach him when needed. He is exceptional in his field. He has done great work for me and made a huge difference in my health. Thank you!

I was referred by my dentist and couldn’t be happier. Immediately upon walking in the door I was greeted by the friendliest staff. All the reviews I read about this place are so accurate! Being nervous about the state of my lack of dental care they instantly put me at ease. Dr Schwimer was extremely informative in explaining my future Dental care plan. I am now looking forward to moving forward on improving and maintaining my oral care for a healthier smile.

In process of getting my second implant with Dr. Schwimer and it has been a great experience.
I've had problems with dental work in the past but not with this fabulous doctor! He's has a deftness of hand and wealth of knowledge that has made my implant process simply wonderful.
