I had a turn of events in my life that left me with a dire situation to find a place to live. I had very little time and stability was necessary for my new career in this area. Carla Sowins herself stepped in and helped me get something to call home. The apartment was beautiful, the staff was incredible, and they always worked with me to meet certain deadlines. Carla and her team is amazing! We rented through them for two years and anytime there was an issue, they would take care of it. Not only that Carla also helped us by getting in touch with mortgage lender and helped us purchase our very first home! Without them I don't think I would be a homeowner today!

I rented from Sowins for about two years. They kept the property in great condition—very clean, all appliances working, grounds nice. They give plenty of warning before entering the property and respond quickly to habitability concerns. These are all things that a landlord should do—but unfortunately many do not. Beyond this they helped me out when I first moved to the area(and another company randomly canceled my move!) and they helped me out when my dad had a health emergency.

So, here's the deal. The staff is really pleasant to talk to, however, there's one major problem. They don't deal with trouble tenants properly. I moved out in April due to the problems with the next door neighbors I had. Constantly loud, always stealing my parking spot, one of their guests even hit and ran my roommate's car. We were told if we found out who's guest it was, to let them know. Nothing was done or said once we did. My old roommate was also verbally assaulted by this same neighbor. I found an ideal unit with Sowins until the unit above me turned over and rented again. The new tenants weren't honest or sober people so I could not resolve my issue with noise waking me up in the early morning hours. They also brought a mix of people to the building I wasn't comfortable with. I bought security cameras to capture and prove the nature of my grievance. Sowins took over managing the apartment building we live in from a previous company about a year ago and we are so relieved and pleased to rent from them. We have used Sowins as a property manager and have been very happy. We are now using Sowins to help us sell the rental and they have been great to work with.
