I love the variety of products that they have. With that being said, their produce is not good. This is my 3rd time buying something from there that is rotten. The first time was milk, the second time was fresas con crema, and this last time was a salsa. I did call about the fresas con crema and I was told to bring them back with the receipt. I honestly didn't bother to return them because it was only about 4 dollars but having spoiled produce time and time again is annoying. I go to Manolos market because is near my home but at this point I don't think it's worth it. Instead of

I called the store (Imperial Beach) spoke to a person by the name of Ricardo regarding the flour tortillas I had purchased. Imentioned that the 2 packets i bought, the tortillas were torn, chopped in the middle and extremely covered in flour. his response was, " we dont make tortillas for commercial sale, if you want them round and perfect go buy them somewhere else" I was surprised at his response,l. He blew me off and pretty much told me to go buy them elsewhere. He wasn't even courteous at saying something positive, he had an arrogant tone of voice.

Outstanding supermarket with lots of Mexican goodies among other common supermarket items, including freshly made tortillas(still warm to the hand), various dishes and snacks, and great selection of fresh produce with good price(red cherry $0.99 a pound, mango two for $1, water Mellon three pounds for $1, etc.).

Foodland is at the intersection of Federal Blvd and Euclid Ave. You wouldn't be able to tell, but it's one of these best we'll stocked grocery stores in San Diego. I compare it to even a better grocery Stumps in Pt. Loma. Shelves are stocked with fresh produce, great quality meats. They make salsas in-house! Try the Salsa Loca, it's fire! You wouldn't be able to tell such a great grocery store is in an unpretentious building. Please stop by and check them out! Better to support local, over the national chains.

10 year customer. Get fresh nutmeg nuts and oranges here. Incredible spice collection. Pass on 95% of the store. Once in a while they have good produce and exotic fruit. Got jackfruit today. Store preys on the uninformed and unhealthy. You might do well on produce. Tons of hormone injected meat for you here.

I was here around 1 pm, April 7th. There are too many customers in the store!! There can be limited social distancing! So they're issuing gloves to all customers, but no regard is given to distance unless you're in the checkout line, but customers are still weaving in and out of that line. NOT GOOD! AND SOME EMPLOYEES ARE NOT WEARING FACE COVERINGS OR MASK! Get it together or get reported!!

I tried hard to like this place and support a smaller, local business. Unfortunately it has proven time and time again to be the worst option for food. Yesterday the bag of potatos i purchased were moldy and decomposing. In the past ive found worms/larva in the meat. If a store cares so little that their bagged up potatos are decomposing on their shelves i can only imagine what other aspects of their business are failing. They have tons of packaged items like oreos that are probably just fine but if you want actual FOOD this is not the LAND for it.

Came in today to buy some tortillas a quick in and out. Their meat prices look pretty decent. We found the tortillas and they were actually still warm and fresh. Not a lot of people, so the lines were quick. They were blasting Mexican music through speakers. I was a bit offended that the cashier never looked up at us, not even to say hello. Both cashiers were named "Angelica" which was unique. They also have added the check cashing place that was next door into the store. This place is not bad, just remember the dusk rule. Come here during the day time.

Took a risk in trying a different grocery store...NOPE!
Conveniently this store is nearby...however, does not carry the majority of the things I shop for. Don't get me wrong there are a few things I can get...but I can get it at any other grocery store, and for a bit cheaper too. That was another thing I had noticed; prices were a bit higher than the standand VONS, Albertsons and even Ralphs.
The floor (including displays) was clean, but the organization was a bit random during my visit. Some of the items seemed to be put on the floor because there is so much in stock. As for stock, when

As far as supermarkets go this one is pretty complete. Some of the fresh fruits and vegetables are hit or miss depending on the season but overall the prices are reasonable, cashiers are friendly but slow, and the store is organized and tidy.
They have a nice meat/butcher department with a good selection of beef cuts, pork, chicken and more. They carry products I am familiar with and some I am not because of the diverse community and supply/demand. This is a good thing because now I can try new foods and explore new ways to prepare them. There is plenty of parking. And, they offer a stamp

I stopped in this Foodland since I was cruising through the area to pick up some sweet potatoes, avocados, garlic, and white onions. They had everything I needed and then some. The sweet potatoes were only .50 per pound, which was a steal because all the supermarkets had them around $1.29 per pound (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/foodland-san-diego-2?select=df4PNoTUgwzJ34r1gwBlPA#eXGsw_vdgENunR5dV4uDrA). The Avocados were on the small side, a the perfect size to eat part of a meal, so I picked up six for $2.40 (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/foodland-san-diego-2?select=df4PNoTUgwzJ34r1gwBlPA#uSRrev3eEsxiPg8YZD8PWg
