Harold Tapley & his dad Bob have been building pools since 1963, when he first became an Anthony pools dealer in a small town in central CA. All (4) of Bob's boys worked summers learning the trades of pool construction from "dad" the hard way.
In 1976 Anthony pools decided to leave Stockton, Ca. at that point the Tapley family decided to continue building in the valley area, so Bob & Harold purchased commercial property in Lathrop/French Camp, Ca. a major transportation hub today.Now striving to build the highest quality pools in the valley, Harold using the last 50 years of experience, has the whole family involved, and now Bob's grandkids and great-grandkids too!

I called Aquos Pool and asked for an estimate, Ryan the designer texted me and said he will charge me $350 for an estimate because it differentiates ready customers from not ready customers. So he wanted me to be ready and sign the contract for whatever estimate he gave me. Business doesn't work like that you could give me a free estimate like other pool companies and if that estimate is a reasonable price then I could go with you if not a reasonable price and very high then I should be able to call another company for an estimate. No one wants to be locked with your estimate. Don't bother this

We used Aquos Pools last year to build our pool/jacuzzi. Everything went great up until the building process. I spoke with numerous different people throughout the building process and it appeared as if they failed to communicate with one another. Things that said were going to be done/included were not (ex; salt water system, re-installing the fence, leveling out the ground after digging, trimming pipes from the ground). My husband had to pay out of pocket to re-install the fence. The company said they would later use that as credit for the salt water system, which at the end was never installed

Aquos designer Joni was extremely easy to work with. She listened to what we were looking for, made changes as needed, answered all our questions, provided insight and recommendations. We were impressed with the visualization software of what our completed pool and backyard would look like and the fact that this is a family owned and run company. We signed with Aquos in November 2019. We were given a dig date for December 2019. We didn't hear anything from Aquos through December and got a knock on our door on a random Saturday

Absolutely the worst company to have build your pool. My experience with Harold (owner) has been just horrible. He sells his company as "family run business" to get the customer to believe they are a loyal business and there to help you. This is absolutely false! Its has been just under 5 months and my pool is not finished yet and it has just failed inspection for the 3 time. Inspector even left an emphatic note stating if inspection fails again I will be charged a fine for having to come back out again. I wish I could post the inspection note.

Too all of you reviewers looking to see the quality of work Aquos pools provides don’t let them fool you with pictures of only their good work!! Here’s what my pool looks like today!! (Please look at my past review. I have added pictures on 5/17/20.) They take your money first and then run from you when their mistakes need to be fixed!!

UPDATE: we had an issue with a rebar bleed onto the pool surface. The company stood by their work and remedied the situation to my satisfaction. I understand that things happen and as long as the warranty holds, I'm a satisfied customer.
We used Aquos pool when we renovated our backyard in Fall 2015/Spring 2016. We chose them over other companies because we liked the idea of a family run business and hoped we would get quality work given the family reputation was at stake. Overall, we are happy with the construction of our pool. Aesthetically, it's a great design and looks beautiful

Good evening Yelp family, I hope you're staying safe during our shelter in place. Its been a long time, but here is an update on the pool. My wife and I filed a complaint with the California State License Board (CSLB), and we took Aquos Pools (Harold Tapley) to Arbitration (American Arbitration Association per our Contract). The Arbitrator ruled in our favor finding Aquos Pools is responsible for the POOR WORKMANSHIP. The Arbitrator stated, "Based on all of the evidence, the Arbitrator concludes that the concrete was poured INCORRECTLY and thus caused the ABNORMAL CRACKS. The cracks

Please if you plan to hirer this company don't do it until you come see his work!! It's easy to find a good pool contractor when the job goes as planned but their true colors show when they make mistakes and owe up to them!!. Harold will only point to a contract that is designed to protect him. He's not an honest businessman. Buyer beware!!!

Aquos has now done 3 pools for us now. Every time they have been fantastic, from the design process to construction. They stuck to the schedule and kept the jobsite clean. They were very friendly to work with and were onsite at every opportunity to make sure things were running smoothly.
I highly recommend them.

I purchased a house with a pool that was built By this company. When I'm trying to figure out how to schedule a daily cleaning with the machine, an error message came up. I reached out to the previous house owner but unfortunately she doesn't remember code. So she suggested me to call the company directly. The first guy who I spoke to immediately want to transfer me to the warranty department without understand what the situation is . I told him I don't need the warranty thing. I only need to know how what is the key code is or what should I do with this. He took down my information

Aquos pools deserves to be rated as the premier pool builder! My wife and I are both enjoying our newly built pool and would like to say a big thanks to Shawn, Cliff, Andrea and of course our salesman, Ryan. We couldnt be happier with the design and construction of our pool. The construction process was very smooth from the start and to the end. Their customer service is bar none awesome....some folks should take a page from them. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure in having them build our pool and now we get to enjoy our backyard!

Bottom line, Aquos cares about their customers. My experience working with Aquos has been great. They met the build schedule and kept the job on budget. The value of any manufacturing company will be felt when something goes wrong. I don't know of many products that are more complex then building a pool, digging, plumbing, electrical, plastering, concrete, and then add weather, to name a few, so something is bound to fail. Aquos is the best in customer service and will not leave you hanging. The family communicates well with each other and will resolve any issue that may arise. Thank you Aquos

We had two pools built previous and when we decided to have a pool built at our new home we began interviewing builders. After interviewing several and receiving a few bids, we chose Aquos Pools. We chose them for many reasons with the biggest one being our gut instinct. Having had a very bad experience in the past, we wanted to be as careful as possible.
