Capt. Bill was exceptionally thorough and knowledgeable. He responded very quickly to inquiry and fit us in without issue. Bill was fantastic! He spent a full day - about 9 hours - with no real breaks to go through the entire yacht. What is more, while I know some surveyors prefer to be left alone while they work, Bill engaged me throughout. He made sure I understood what he was seeing, offered suggestions on things that might be changed or fixed and allowed me to ask questions. What is more, he was fun to spend time with.

I can't say enough about the tremendous job Bill Weyant of EC Marine Consulting did surveying the 18 year old sport yacht I bought in September 2021. While I expected a thorough job, Bill went above and beyond my expectations, spending more than eight hours non-stop checking the hull, engines and every component of the boat, big and small. Bill Weyant is a fantastic boat surveyor! Every inch of the boat is scrutinized above deck, below deck, and all over the underside at haul-out. He is extremely well credentialed and has all the most up to date tools for things such as engine diagnostics, tank bonding, engine heat signature monitoring etc. I followed him through the survey (0900 - 4:30pm) as his scribe on many items, but he also takes the time to explain what he is looking for and what he is finding along the way. The final report out is very professional and very detailed and well organized. As the saying goes - better to spend

Capt. Bill was very professional. The survey was extremely thorough. As new boat owners he walked us through every working part of the boat. His survey report and pictures are great for our records. We found his knowledge of the boating industry well above average. I needed a survey for a 35 foot sailboat i was interested in purchasing. After much research and based on his multiple positive reviews, I selected Captain Bill at East Coast Marine Consulting.
During our introductory call Bill explained the survey process and that he would spend 6 plus hours going over every aspect of the boat. Deck, Hull, Engine, Electrical, Plumbing, Rigging, Sails etc etc. Nothing was left untouched. He would then provide me a full report detailing all findings (Both good and Bad) that could use to help negotiate with the seller as well as prioritize projects that need attention
