Nye Uniform
Nye Uniform was founded in 1935 by John Nye in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. We relocated to our current location on the northwest side of Grand Rapids in 1998. Our 18,000+ square foot facility has 3,500 square feet of showroom dedicated to uniforms and accessories, as well as housing all aspects of our business, including tailoring and embroidery.

In 2003, Nye Uniform launched a mobile store designed specifically for the healthwear market. Our 34 foot trailer goes on-site to health care facilities, retirement homes, and hospitals and offers the convenience of a traveling store. The new larger unit will give shoppers an even better shopping experience, with more items and a better layout.

I couldn't believe that I placed an order here. If my company isn't giving me money to purchase here, I would never ever buy stuff here. Placed order 3 weeks ago, called and all I got is attitude from staff.

I placed an order 3 weeks before I need it for work. Keep in mind 3 weeks is more than 14 days. I called back around 10 days to keep track of it, the lady on the phone answered with an attitude and told me it is not 14 days yet. Ok that's my bad!
I waited until yesterday which is more than 14 days, almost 3 weeks long. The guy told me THE WAREHOUSE lost my order that I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET AFTER 14 DAYS. Blamed everything else but themselves for not checking on the status of the order. Promised me that I can come the next day and part of my order should be ready. I called before I go and STILL

LOST MY ORDERS AND BLAMED ON EVERYTHING ELSE BUT THEMSELVES. Staff answered phone with bad attitude. Now I don’t have uniforms to wear and they don’t even give discount for what they’ve done wrong. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST ALL OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS

I needed scrubs for work and paid to have them embroidered. Knowing it would take some time for this to happen, I placed the order 14 days in advance of when I needed them. I was told my order would be ready in 5-7 business days. Fast forward 2 weeks- I received no update on my order and needed scrubs for work the next day. Not only did my scrubs receive a delay and no one felt to update me, but if I wanted something to wear for work the next day, I would have to pay ADDITIONAL to my original $90 order! I am very disappointed to understand that because NYE was too slow on their promise to have

Started a new job in the Grand Rapids area back on 5/4, called Nye to get my order placed. In the meantime I went to the store as my order that I had placed was going to take too long to get before I started my new job, not a problem. I bought a pair thinking I was only going to have to use that one pair of scrubs for a week. Well three weeks goes by and I still haven't received any updates about my order, so I called Nye. The man on the phone was very agitated, saying that a lot of orders have not been able to be processed because his seamstress is out sick so they had to use a different company

My experience at NYE was pleasant to say the least. My salesperson Donna was very helpful with my purchase and questions that I had. No rude behavior from any of the girls there so maybe the other reviewers caught someone on a bad day maybe? I don't know. The only negative thing for me is that it is a drive but it's within minutes from Somerset so I can deal with that. Have to wait for my order to get altered so I'll post another review afterwards. Other than that

Sales girl should not be in retail. Handed me a pair of boots and never came back. It was 15mins before closing time. Maybe she was more interested in getting out of there than servicing a customer.

Awful experience! The blonde girl treated me like absolute garbage and was so rude! I'll never be going here again! She was rushing me and I asked her why she was rushing me? They were open for another two hours! I went to look at the other side of the store and she turned off the light! She shouldn't be working here! Being in the police and fire community I'll be sure to tell everyone not to come here. I have never been treated so badly in my entire life!

I ordered an item a few months ago (late fall) and after waiting approx. 8 weeks, the item (rain coat) had not arrived. I called NYE (from a recorded line from where I work) and told them that I was tired of waiting and cancelled the order. I then went directly to NYE and purchased a different jacket which I now have. Long story short, the jacket was never cancelled by NYE and delivered to my work place. I was a little shocked when I saw it mainly because I cancelled the order. I stuck the jacket in my locker for a few weeks and recently had a fellow employee take it back to NYE for me when he
