Paul E. Harrison, MD opened ClearSkin Dermatology and Surgery, Inc. in 1999, which has now evolved to TrueSkin Dermatology and Surgery, Inc. Mohs micrographic surgery is a specialized, highly effective technique for the removal of skin cancer. The procedure was developed in the 1930s by Dr. Frederic Mohs, a Dermatologist, at the University of Wisconsin and is now practiced by Mohs surgeons throughout the world, who are the most highly specialized physicians in dermatology today.
A mole is formed when a group of pigment-producing skin cells called melanocytes become concentrated in one area, forming a cluster. Because of the high concentration of pigment-producing cells, this area will appear darker than the surrounding skin. Moles often react more dramatically to direct sunlight exposure, so you may notice that they darken significantly.
With the high elevation in Utah you that much closer to the sun and its harmful rays, raising your risk for skin cancer. TrueSkin MD is one of the first dermatology offices in Utah to receive the new MelaFind system. MelaFind is a medical technology that may be used during a skin exam or mole check, to help dermatologists see under the skin's surface to identify potentially harmful moles. The MelaFind system checks for irregular growth patterns underneath the skin.

I never write reviews but this is absolutely necessary. Cannot believe I wasted my time here. I think I started seeing Dr. Harrison when I was in 7th grade for my cystic acne. They put me on a low dosage of a few mild medications and nothing ever completely got rid of my acne. I suffered from super low confidence and insecurity for 5 years before I decided to ask about accutane. And when I did Dr. Harrison said made it seem like he would never even consider prescribing it to me. After that visit I came home in tears so frustrated that I scheduled an appointment for another dermatologist the next

Zero stars.. unfriendly.. super rushed especially for my kid who was scared, for my child to go into an office be kind and take your time. Heads up Don't ask questions Don't call when you have a reaction the next morning they are not courteous enough to help or see you ...

DO not expect results you get in other offices to remove a simple wart that is now a scar... your better off removing your own with Oregano/Doterra. DO expect to be slammed a HUGE bill for Zero results but a lovely scar. I never leave reviews but wish I read

Doctor Harrison is very good at what he does. I have seen him a few times for various issues. He not only addressed those issues but followed up on previous visits regarding issues I had totally forgotten about. Love the office. Staff was good. Service was prompt. They were VERY careful about covid and sanitization. I appreciated that.

Dr. Harrison’s office is hard to deal with. The doctor himself does not listen and continuously prescribed me a gel that was not doing anything for my skin. He did not acknowledge my major concern which was taking care of a scar on my chin, instead he focused on non-existent acne and had me stop using an effective acne treatment I was using to use the prescription he thought would be better. I bought cleanser from his office hoping that it would be a be a good supplement to the prescription gels and creams, but it made me break out worse than i have seen since i was in middle school. I have been going to this doctor for issues with acne for a while now. He had always done a great job with treating the acne. Recently, I had a mole removed there and it was a terrible experience. I had the procedure done and not even 2 days later I was back at TrueSkin with an infection. I was given a cream and antibiotic to help with it. The next day it was even worse so I went to an urgent care and was told that the cream I was prescribed was mainly used for athletes foot or cradle cap. I went in with a scheduled appointment and he did not show up until 1 hour later. The staff said 3 times, it will be 15 more minutes, he will be in in 5 minutes, he will be right in. Over the course of any hour. He knew he was not going to be there, why not say the truth? My time is just as valuable.
I went in to have 1 mole removed and skin tags removed. He refused to do the skin tags cause he was running late and wanted to do on another visit (so I have to pay $$ for 2 visits, not happening). And the mole, he refused to remove

Dr. Harrison is an amazing dermatologist. He finds what will work for me and cares about my skin and appearance. I went from wearing foundation for years to not wearing foundation anymore because of how happy and confident I am with my skin now. I’m so happy with the results I have seen with my skin.

I visited Dr. Paul Harrison's office with the hope to get some help with aging skin and some other minor blemishes, and to be more fully educated on what choices of treatments were possible and available. He offered informed, helpful and thorough advice regarding what would be the most cost-effective treatment for my needs and budget. I had a great experience with Dr. Harrison at True Skin Dermatology. He came highly recommended by family and friends and I’m so happy with the results of my surgery on my neck.
