This is a long overdue review for Essam and his team. Bottom line is that Essam and his team are fantastic. He is honest, upfront, hardworking, and strives to meet the customer's needs. His prices are very fantastic and he stands behind his work. I would definitely acquire his services again in the future. He did an IKEA install for me which required full demolition including removal of kitchen soffits and rerouting of plumbing and electrical wires. I used Essam from this company on two occasions. During both, he provided the cheapest quote. He walked me through what would be done, what would be needed, and how much time he would need to complete the work. That quote and timeframe was given to me within 15 minutes after speaking to him each time.
Both projects were completed on time and with great satisfaction.

Essam and team did a variety of jobs at our house in October. He was able to fit around our schedule and the work was timely and excellent with no hassle. Very professional, reasonably priced, with no surprises. Over the course of 4 days his team did extensive dry wall work in our basement and dining room, installed vinyl flooring, repaired a rotting window frame, and also installed recessed lighting in our living room and dining room. We couldn't be happier with everything and intend to keep asking him for help on future projects as things come up.

I had an issue with my linoleum flooring curling up at the base of the tubs in my two bathrooms. I received several quotes through Yelp and Essam's quote was comparable to others (250 dollars). I chose him based on other Yelp reviews and I was very pleased with the work.
Essam was responsive through Yelp and providing a quote. Once I asked him to do the work, we set up a phone call where he explained how he was going to fix the flooring. He did require a 100 dollar deposit which I was easily able to transfer to him through Zelle, and he quickly put me on his schedule.

Essam and his team recently completed finishing our basement and we couldn't be happier! Their skill and craftsmanship is excellent - very close attention to detail and everything looks perfect. They were very friendly and polite and but for hammering and sawing and banging and sanding were very quiet and unassuming. They cleaned up their workspace each day and left their equipment and materials very nicely organized and out of the way (which is important because my 3 year old son wanted to check the progress almost every night).

Essam is our go-to handyman. We first used him a few years ago to replace some doors. We then continuously called him back to fix up things around the house and he also renovated our bathroom. When we were getting our house ready to put on the market, we were concerned about a broken sink--and he suggested a solution that was so reasonably priced. He's honest and straightforward and he has a great respectful team. We plan to use them again in our new home.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars for this review. I wrote about Essam and his team a year ago when they did a superb job renovating my bathrooms. They also repaired some outside lighting and took care of a few other minor house problems (interior door wouldn't close) we've struggled with for years.
Today we had a flood in our house and about 30 gallons of water ended up in our ceiling. Not only was that horrible but it threatened our hardwood floors.
Essam doesn't specialize in emergency repairs but one call from me and he was here within minutes. He drained

I had an old kitchen from the 70s and hired Essam to remodel it. It looks great now!! He even went the extra mile to help me pick out the back splash, cabinets, counter, and floor tile. I've received so many compliments on how great it looks. I can't wait to have him come back out and remodel my bathroom. Highly recommended!

This might be the worst experience I’ve had with a contractor. I should’ve known that this wasn’t going to go well when I talked to Esam and was given a 3 day window to come out (with a 30 min notice). That should’ve told me two things – unprofessional and unreliable. When I asked for a more specific window, he could only give a 2 day window. Tell tale sign to walk away... well, lo and behold, here is the last day of that window and I receive a text message asking to do the job next week. Really?! I’ll go elsewhere. Oh, by the way, this was a SIMPLE job of replacing an interior ( bathroom

Essam did a great at our house (closing off a staircase, replacing the flooring in two rooms, and repainting our kitchen cabinets). He was priced competitively, was very transparant with additional costs (for changes that we requested) along the way, and finished both on time and within budget. Showed up early every day and always cleaned up in the evenings. Very responsive via text/phone call and knows what he's doing. Will definitely call him again.

We are so lucky to have found On Duty Handyman. We had a number of house projects and fixes we needed to do - one of them being a hole in the ceiling that we had cut out because a leak had happened. Essam and his team did a fabulous job addressing each issue meticulously, and the end result is perfect. They were punctual, respectful, efficient, and did quality work - I can't recommend them enough. I won't hesitate to call on them again if I need to do any other fixes or renovations in the future.

I contacted them for a quote on a small/medium drywall repair job. The quote was the best I could find so I booked the job. The job itself was done well and no cleanup on my part!
The only cons would be the time it took to do the job (more than a couple hours like I had anticipated) and scheduling. I was hoping it to have it done in a week, but he was booked out until the following week. All in all, I would recommend and use On Duty Handyman again!

When it comes to your home, you want the best quality for the best price. On duty handyman is the best. We called multiple contractors and decided on Essam.
When he came he was knowledgeable and gave us an upfront price. He showed up on time and knocked out our project in no time.
We had problems finding just the right door and 3 months later he came back to install with no extra charge
To say the least we are happy to have found Essam and will definitely be using him in the future.
