Founded in 2000, Joel Bare Woodworking is located in the heart of Lancaster County on the Bare family farm. We have been creatively designing and building custom wooden countertops and furniture for almost 20 years. We put our heart and soul into every custom wooden piece. We are proud to say that we are not a production shop and our pieces are not mass-produced.

After our initial contact, we will communicate with you on your concept which can be either a rough sketch or a detailed print of what you would like us to build. We will meet with you to pick lumber types, hardware, and get an understanding of your desires and expectations from the project. Then decisions will be made for the project scope.

Joel has been our neighbor for almost all of his life, so we were able to be among the first to contract him when he started his business. We have several of his pieces in our home and each is simply beautiful. Our favorite is our entire bedroom suite as it is a gorgeous, warm cherry and solid. We've had it 10 years and it shows no signs of weakening. There are no short cuts in Joel's quality. He loves what he does and it shows in his craftsmanship.
