The Dahlgren Yacht Club located at Naval Support Facility (NSF) in Dahlgren, VA, is a Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR), Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentality (NAFI) organization. DYC membership dues, slip rentals and membership labor are the only source for maintenance and expansion of DYC facilities.
To utilize DYC, a potential member must be able to access the base, which requires possession of a military ID, or civilian government CAC card. The DYC membership card does not provide base access. The facility is operated by an uncompensated elected board of governors (BOG) who perform BOG tasking in their spare time.

Services
The Membership Governor will contact you, make sure you qualify, insure DYC can provide the facilities (slips, dry slip, lockers) you are interested in and provide a membership application. Upon receipt of the application with a check for the dues/fees the application will be processed and a membership card delivered.
Article III, Section 3, paragraph A to add active duty military from any location as regular members. Removed employees of other organizations on base from regular membership. Allow regular members that transfer to other activities or locations to continue as regular members as long as they continue to be Federal Civilian Employees.
Membership in the Dahlgren Yacht Club (DYC) automatically binds the member to agree to the following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). General requirements pertaining to this and and all other DYC SOP are covered in the Master SOP. A Pavilion has been provided by DYC for member use. Due to the location and and open design it is expected that non-member base employees may also be using it.

DYC provides temporary docking in the form of the floating docks adjacent to the launching ramp and slip rental on the main dock.
