My story begins like many of yours. In 2011, I found a gym community that was warm and welcoming, and instantly became immersed. The workouts were my daily challenge, and allowed me to put on the proverbial cleats that I had hung up 20-something years ago. The more I became involved, the more I fell in love with community.
All of us here today have reluctantly come to accept that the doctor's office is only for the sick, broken, and dying, and the healthcare industry has molded itself to be just that. The downstream bias toward treatment of one's ails with medication and surgery has created a vast landscape of hopelessness and acquiescence, convincing many that "it's as good as it's going to get".
A family medicine doctor is just that, a doctor for your whole family! Traditionally referred to as General Practitioners, Family Medicine physicians treat and manage a host of health issues. From the acute cold/cough to managing chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes, Family Medicine physicians are "masters of all, specialists of none".
With the advent of regenerative medicine, there are many minimally-invasive options available for common musculoskeletal conditions that reduce or eliminate the need for surgery. And like Family Medicine physicians, Sports Medicine physicians can perform many of the same services as an orthopedic surgeon in the office.
While The Drop-In Doc's official stance is that diet and exercise are the true fountain of youth, Dr. Schulte also loves to do a good procedure! At first I was a little hesitant to try out the Drop-In Doc because all my life I’ve gone to traditional doctors and specialists. But when I saw the quality of the equipment and the professionalism it kind of put my kind at ease. Dr. Schulte and his staff were very warm and friendly. Dr. Schulte took the time to actually LISTEN to my ramblings of all that I had going on health wise. I know this sounds crazy, but like maybe he actually cared! ***If you care about being proactive in regards to your health, LOOK NO FURTHER! Dr. Schulte is the best of both worlds, "merging medicine with fitness" as he says. If you are like me, you ask a lot of questions because well, you care about your health. It is so refreshing to speak to a Doctor that acknowledges the disconnect we have in medicine, and how we need to focus on preventing illness (fitness, food, lifestyle), rather than just treating symptoms after they've already arisen. I contacted Dr. Schulte at The Drop In Doc with concern for my son who had been suffering with shoulder pain. He responded quickly and asked important questions about his past treatments etc, to get a clear perspective on the problem. I was able to get my son in to see Dr Schulte right away. The next day after being treated by Dr Schulte my son text me with excitement that his shoulder pain had subsided immensely! I’m so grateful that The Drop In Doc available in our community. Dr. Schulte stands for everything I believe in when comes to health and well-being. We love Drop In Doc!!

Sadly I trusted Dr. Shulte with my face twice and regretted it. The first time I paid him over $500 for botox. I explained in a text message that I lost my smile and that I could hardly move my mouth. He didn't offer any solution. Against my better judgment, I gave him another try after the first treatment wore off, thinking there's no way he could mess up twice!!! I was wrong. I asked for the "bright-eyed-bushy-tailed" look and showed him where the previous injections were placed. He ignored me and injected my forehead causing my eyes to DROOP, resulting in me looking OLDER

I had known Dr. Schulte ("Dr. Adam") for more than 2 years as a fellow Crossfitter before he opened his office in our gym. I was always impressed how approachable he was, you could ask him anything before or after a workout and he was always inquisitive and trying to help and pinpoint a problem, and recommend the next course of action. Having him accessible in a formal state-of-the-art doctor's office setting right inside our gym now is very unique and a real convenience. Great initiative! Thank you, Dr. Adam!
