Our history begins with our founding by Dr. Douglas L. Chase in 1964. Dr. Chase's practice grew and flourished and added Dr. Robert T. Rice as a partner in 1984; we then became known as Drs. Chase & Rice Optometry. In 2000, Dr. Allred joined our practice and we became Drs. Rice & Allred Family Optometry.

When I receive high quality professional care, I want to share that with others. My wife and I recently had our annual eye exams with Dr. Amanda Alves, one of the optometrists at Allred Family Eye Care. Dr. Alves is very thorough in conducting the eye examination. She is able to answer our questions in nontechnical language and she is able to address our concerns about our vision. She shows a genuine concern about our vision as well as our general health. The support staff also does a professional job of helping patients select frames, explain the many options of lenses, and measuring the glasses

Dr. Allred and his staff are the absolute best in the biz! My family and I have been seeing Dr. Allred for as long as he’s been in practice and we would never go anywhere else. His bedside manner is phenomenal as well as his skills as an optometrist. He’s unbelievable with children as well. If you have kids this is 100% the optometrist for you! When it comes to choosing your glasses, the gals in the office are extremely helpful and are experts in choosing the frames that will look best on your face! I highly recommend Allred family eye care!
