Services
Children's Corner Preschool is a development-based pre-school program in Petaluma, California. We offer an atmosphere of encouragement where kindness and self-esteem are emphasized in order to stimulate a child's learning and curiosity within a safe, emotionally secure and accepting environment. Recognition is given based on the individual needs of each child.
Children's Corner offers three different class levels. Each level - or preschool classroom - has one or more teachers depending on the size of the class. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for your child. We strive to afford our youngest children at the school with a program that will encourage their social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth during this very special time of life.
Hiring the Children's Corner staff is done with great care and consideration. Hiring is something we don't have to do too often considering the longevity and commitment of our employees. In fact, 15 of our staff members share an average of 15 years of service at Children's Corner. What's more, both our director and assistant director have been at Children's Corner since the beginning (35 years ago).
My 4 year old daughter has been at Children's Corner Daycare Center since she was 2. I visited many daycares before choosing this one. The Director, Jan, immediately made me feel comfortable and I could see what a loving environment all of the staff there had created. My daughter has thrived since being at Children's Corner and she has loved every teacher she's had!
Each class follows a similar routine, which consists of morning circle time, curriculum (center based activities which include art, sensory experiences, manipulative, language experiences, dramatic play and free play), snack time, outside time, circle/share and lunch. Between two children, we spent 5 delightful years at Children's Corner. When it was time for us to move on, I cried tears of sadness because of the enriching, positive, loving experience we had there. Jan, Sherrie, Lorraine, and all the other teachers care deeply about what they do, and about the children they teach in their classrooms. It is truly a gem in the community. Ask anyone that sent their children to Children's Corner, and they have all had the same, positive experience.

Both my children went through Children’s Corner and we were recommended to this preschool by a friend who loved it so much and raved about the school. The moment I took the tour of the school I knew it was the perfect fit for our family. The teachers are amazing and so comforting and supportive with the children. I was very nervous to leave my kids for the first time and they made the transition very easy. We loved the school and miss it daily. I only wished we could have stayed so many more years.

Today is 12 days away from 2019. My eleven year old was putting on his new shoes for school. They had laces. I had a flash of when he learned how to tie his shoes at Childrens Corner Petaluma in 2010/11?. I asked him if he remembered and he said "Yes, I love that place. Can we go see them?" First of all, they taught him how to tie his shoes, I didn't. Second of all, there is not a better place anywhere including USA that is better and more conscious of the Children than Children's Corner Petaluma. ABSOLUTELY the best ChildCare Center of all time. I know, I have had a couple of kids go to Childrens

I have been a teacher at Children's Corner for more than two decades. I am so proud of our school. I work with a wonderfully dedicated group of teachers that put heart and soul into caring for and educating Petaluma's smallest friends. Our director Jan takes time to make sure every family feels welcome and that every child has the best classroom placement available.
My own son attended Children's Corner as a toddler through pre- k. I loved how his teachers not only taught him the academics necessary for kindergarten success, they also encouraged a love for reading and learning and , upon graduation

The one and only preschool I 1,000% trusted with my daughter. The Director Jan, and ALL of the teachers are absolutely incredible. My daughter had Ms. Stacey, Ms. Wendy & Ms. Sherrie. They aren’t *just* teachers, they are nurtures, care takers & friends, too. My sisters children and one of my best friends children have also attended Children’s Corner and so did my sister herself, 30 years ago. If you are lucky enough to get in, consider yourself and your child(ren) BLESSED! ❤️

The best preschool ever. If you want a trustworthy and solid security for your child chidlrens' corner is the place to take them. I would chose Children's Corner because of their history. Almost 30 years without one complaint or incident is unbeatable and trustworthy. Most of the teachers have been there into the decades. The teachers are wonderful and the kids look forward to going to school every day. The best, simply the best preschool in Petaluma.
