Coyote Point Yacht Club
Coyote Point Yacht Club is located at Coyote Point Park in San Mateo, between the bay Bridge to the North, and the San Mateo Bridge to the South. Within the park grounds, you will find the CuriOdyssey Museum and the Poplar Golf Course. The park grounds also feature biking and walking trails, as well as picnic tables.

The club features a guest dock, an expansive backyard with BBQ facilities, showers facilities, locker rentals, and free ice. A pump-out station and gas dock are available at the marina. Members enjoy reciprocal privileges at most yacht clubs in the SF Bay Area and at many clubs worldwide. Club burgees in our Commodore's and Regatta rooms attest to our members' visits to other yacht clubs and visiting yacht clubs to CPYC.
Services
Coyote Point Yacht Club welcomes both boaters and social members. As a proprietary member of CPYC, you have voting privileges and the opportunity to enjoy participation in all club events. And as a member of CPYC, you have reciprocal privileges at most of the yacht clubs in the SF Bay Area, as well as at many yacht clubs worldwide.
Boat ownership is not necessary to be a member of Coyote Point Yacht Club. Many members do not have boats, but are passionate about the water or water sports. If you wish to participate in the informal races or cruise outs, members are often willing to take others on as crew or guests. There are monthly cruise-outs to various marinas and destinations around the Bay Area, as well as monthly regattas.
Coyote Point Yacht Club, located at Coyote Point Marina/Park in San Mateo, provides and unique venue for cruise-ins and party events. In addition to our club and the park, the public Poplar Creek Golf course and the delightful family-oriented Coyote Point Museum are within walking distance from the docks.
Join us for CPYC cruises to welcoming destinations and improve your navigation and boatmanship in a safe environment. We exchange navigation tips, "buddy" together to/from CPYC and destination, help with docking and keep in touch by radio. Each boat is responsible for their own navigation and passage but help is nearby!
There will be no pre-race meeting at the Club. All participants head directly to their boats and monitor channel 71 for starting information and updates. Races will start at 6:00 PM. Winter Races are held on the second and fourth Sundays of January, February, and March. Boats typically leave the docks at approximately 1:00 PM, and races are typically finished by 4:00 PM.

Cruised in for a few hours and picnicked at the yacht club via reciprocal privileges from our yacht club. Really nice people there. There's also a very large park with picnic areas and playgrounds, and the SF Bay Trail is right there for walking, biking, etc.

A hidden gem on the Peninsula. We joined a few months ago. This is a friendly place.

Of course it's great club for sailors or skippers, but you don't need to own a boat, or even know anything about boating to join. The views from the clubhouse are spectacular. Dinners on Friday and Saturday are relaxed and you feel like you've gone on vacation even though you're still in San Mateo.
Our grandchildren are still too young for sailing lessons but they love to come to the club for burgers and soft drinks with cherries.

If you are a local business person looking for a great

Where do I start?

I contacted the club a month ago by email to get info on renting the club. I got an email back from a girl named Carly asking me to give her a call, which I did a ton of times & she never answered. I left a couple vm for her asking to call me back & still nothing! After a week of this I emailed her saying I've left a couple voicemails & called & not once did I get a response. She finally emails me back with a ONE sentence email saying the club is booked in October. Um ok but first my event wasn't even for October & I never gave her a date of when

CPYC is one of the friendliest and open clubs I have ever been to! Wednesday night Beer Can races are open to the public, even without experience. Awesome dinner afterwards and everyone wants you to leave with a love of sailing.
Friday and Saturday nights with a great bartender and more excellent home made food are also open to anyone wandering by the boats.
Oh, did I mention the killer views?!?
The top floor ballroom is rented out regularly for weddings, bat mitzvah, or just a party.
Come by, you won't regret it!!

We went there today for a memorial / celebration of life for Richard D. Glennon who while here with us (from 11-12-48 to 1-12-15) gathered a great number of friends.

While there today, there was a double rainbow in the background (see pictures).

The CPYC has a large parking lot, great views, and friendly staff. The bar is well stocked, the restrooms very clean, and the upstairs capacity is 150 people. They also have a downstairs area with child entertainment.

Unfortunately my only interaction was with the Vice Commodore there, Steve Basuino, who was less than friendly. This yacht club is not the caring place it use to be. Consider another club for membership.

Love it, Love it, Love it!

Old School, that's for sure, but the view, ample parking, food, menu, bar, and service make it totally, totally worth it!

I go there for meetings on occasion, and they are always a fun-filled event with excellent service and food! The space upstairs is great for a casual get together (ie: Rehearsal dinner, Banquet, etc.)

The chef takes pride in her work and the watistaff are always very attentive and professional. I SO love the view of the San Mateo bridge from here.. it's RIGHT on the Bay!
