Aeolian Yacht Club
2022 Round the Island Yacht clubs of Alameda; check back here for details on RTI '22. A +8' peak high tide will be 10:15 AM, and very favorable until noon. Stay tuned for more as we get closer. Aeolian Yacht Club is a volunteer-driven homeport for sailors, power boaters, paddle and rowing sports enthusiasts with a shared love of the sea.

Since 1906, our harbor in Alameda's East End has been a direct portal to the San Francisco and San Leandro bays, with a cozy clubhouse for dining, games, and nautical revelry. You don't have to own a boat or be a master of formal club etiquette to be an Aeolian. All you need is a curiosity for having fun on the water with your friends and neighbors, and become part of an Alameda institution.

Have never been there, just ride by on my bicycle to/from the airport where I keep my airplane. If I had a yacht, might keep it there.

I am not a member here, but I did attend functions put on by friends. The members that I met were always very nice.

I have been a member of this club for 44 years as of last February. The club was started in 1906 and has changed over the years. its a good club for people that enjoy boating and being on the water. You dont have to own a boat to be a member as there are dinners, parties, and a bar upstairs with a view of the boats and harbor facilities. Access to the bar is for members and their guests only. There is a pool table down stairs, free of charge, for members and there guests to use and enjoy. The members are, for the most part, easy going and friendly.

We at the Lake Merritt Sailing Club want to thank the Aeolian Yacht Club for inviting us to your annual crab feed on Jan 27th. We had a table set up for 15 that was perfect. The crab was wonderful along with the salads and dessert. The bar provided good drinks, and the service was excellent. All in all a very friendly atmosphere and great social experience for our members! Thank you Aeolian. Gary Hartsock, Commodore, LMSC.

I am a member here. The Aeolian Yacht club is a great place for an event - dance hall, bar, pool table, etc. Lots of history at the club but not too many people know about it.

Outside of a rental, the club is inexpensive to join and has several boats you can use for free as member.

Attended a holiday party here. I had no part in organizing it, so I can't say much to how renting the space goes. I can say, if you do book an event here, you cannot bring any outside alcohol in. There is a bar that is stocked and it sounded like the bar tender who was there was volunteering. We made sure to tip well and he did a good job. Definitely worth bringing in a second to give the first one relief if you have a large group.

The club has two floors. An open area that fit a band and a dance floor as well as several tables. The bar area is upstairs and has small tables for seating. Downstairs

One of the first clubs in the Bay area, it is a rustic club with some of the most affordable prices to keep your boat in the area. It is one of the only places you can still work on your boat and has a work shop close by for your convenience.

It is located between the High St. Bridge and the Bay Farm Bridge, but I had no problem getting my 36 foot sail boat in and out of the channels even at some of the low tides, with a 6 foot keel.

The club is not for everyone, but if you looking for access to the water and reasonable rates, I would say it is a place to look into.
