Our first location in Hilton Head Island was designed to give locals & visitors a relaxed, worry-free car wash experience. Island Car Wash has proudly served the Lowcountry since the 1970's. In 2006, we moved to our current location on Hwy 278. Our laid-back philosophy continues to grow. In the late 1990's, we opened our Bluffton Location as full-service wash to further serve the community.

Carson went above and beyond to help remove paint from my wheel wells. He went above and beyond and took the time to scrub the paint that I drove over off of my car. Island car wash in Okatie always goes above and beyond and I am very pleased with them. I highly recommend signing up for their monthly deal for car washes. I literally take my car there almost every day. Great value and great service!

Just witnessed an attendant play musical vacuums w/a person I'm assuming was a member based on the exchange. The lady pulled up to a vacuum, it wasn't on. She moved to another that was just in use for it to be turned off. After she hailed an attendant to inquire on machines the attendant advised they were for "paying" members. @ no time did I see an attendant ASK the lady anything. Seems the lady didn't "look" like a member. Hopefully she reported this madness I'm witnessing. Btw I assume she was a member as she was finally able to proceed w/minimal further interaction.

I had my car washed with their highest level package. They were not busy at all so it only took 15 additional minutes for the person to finish the interior. When I gave her a 20% tip, she didn’t even acknowledge me. She just took the money and walked away. Unfortunately, due to her rude attitude I won’t be returning to this car wash!

I used to love this style car wash when they first came out, pay $10-12, use some elbow grease for the interior work, and you have a nicely detailed car. They would pre-scrub the exterior and they had great vacuum cleaners with interior cleaner and rags to really get your inside as clean as you wanted it. The monthly passes are great for Uber drivers to do more frequent cleaning. At this location, the exterior wash really did not get the entire car clean, especially with pine pollen, and roof racks make it even worse. So once done with the exterior wash, I pulled out to the interior detail area

Zero COVID safety procedures despite the mask mandate on the island. I asked one of the attendants if she had a mask as she approached my window and she said she did not. I also asked if the workers wore masks as they sat in the vehicle and cleaned the car. They do not. I would also note nobody self-servicing their cars were wearing masks despite being within a couple feet of each other in the stalls.

The female attendant who banged on my window about my sticker being off needs a lesson in customer service. after explaining I just had my windshield replaced, she said she had to physically put it on herself. Not that I am disputing policy, but I didn't like her touching my car the first time, and didn't want her touching it a second time either. I was instructed to exit, being denied a service I had already paid for. After attempting to contact management on 2 occasions, I was simply refunded my monthly fees. I would give "this" location a 5+ star rating if possible. They have gone over and above on service which I will get into later. Not bragging but to validate my review, I have some high end vehicles, Dodge Viper, Maserati, Audi and I am very scrutinizing about every drive thru wash I go to for obvious reasons....I want no scratches or damage. I have been going to Island car washes since back in the 90's and have honestly never had an issue at all and the employees have been have been well trained and are very customer oriented. Yes, "well trained" meaning they will be careful and do as you ask

This car was is superb. I just purchased the basic was. I was then lead to the FREE vacuum bays with FREE microfiber towels & window/multi-surface spray bottle. It was great! I got the exterior super cleaned & I vacuumed/cleaned the interior & window glass. A GREAT deal if you ask me all with a Basic Wash!

I have been going to Island Car Wash since I was in high school back in the early 2000s, and I had no complaints until now. The car wash has completely changed. The experience is mostly automated, I had no clear instructions on what to do since you used to get out of your car and just wait. The elderly man at the entry screamed at me and banged on my window with his tool. The automated car wash was fine. But, for 30$ I expected a much more detailed vacuum service. The inside of my car wasn't wiped down that thoroughly. Although, the people at the vacuum station work hard in the heat all day
