A-1 Engraving & Signs started off as a dream of entrepreneur Phil Boltach. Phil saw an unmet need of equipment labeling and signage so he decided to cash in his retirement and start his own business. In 1989, Phil opened up for business in the garage of his residence and the first years were scarce.
AlumaMark engraving is real aluminum that may be imaged or marked using a CO2 laser. The technology allows you to create rich black graphics on aluminum without chemicals or fill. It will produce black graphics beneath the anodized aluminum surface. The graphics are marked into the aluminum permanently.
Brass engraving is offered in two types of brass: brass and black brass. The traditional brass and black brass that we use for engraved plates is.020 thick. The traditional brass has a brushed smooth surface. It has a brass lacquered face that we rotary engrave through and treat the letters chemically to turn them black.

I am one of the owners of Dalton Environmental Cleaning a local air duct cleaning company. A-1 recently designed and lettered one of our trucks. We are so pleased with the stand out design that A-1 came up with. Our truck is extremely visible on the road and people know exactly who we are.
