PatioPads.com is one of several websites owned by Island Coast Furniture, Inc., a Florida registered Corporation. It all began with Pipefine Patio Furniture Company, which began designing and manufacturing PVC patio furniture in 1968. The furniture needed cushions and slings, so Pipefine contracted with another furniture manufacturer to produce them.
In 2007 a new owner scaled back the retail operation, and the focus became more Internet-based, with the roll-out of PipefinePatioFurniture.com. The website enabled sales and distribution to a national customer base instead of just locally. In 2008 a strategic decision was made to discontinue manufacturing altogether, and expand the distribution-only business model, outsourcing all products from other manufacturers.
