Rob serves as Shaker Financial Services' Chief Investment Strategist and Partner. He is responsible for overseeing strategy development, trading, and portfolio allocations. He speaks regularly at industry events about closed-end funds and the concept of tactical swapping.

In addition to his responsibilities within portfolio management and business development, Robert serves as the firm's Chief Compliance Officer, where he is responsible for maintaining firm-wide SEC and GIPS compliance.Robert joined Shaker Financial in 2004 after serving as Economic Advisor to the US Embassy in Costa Rica.

We are a fiduciary, which means we have a legal responsibility to act solely in our clients' best interests. Other types of financial professionals, like brokers, often receive commissions for selling certain products.
Where are you located and can I work with Shaker Financial Services if I live out of state? We have locations in Maryland and Virginia, but our clients are spread out all over the country. We maintain regular contact with all of our clients, and we are always available by phone or e-mail. What type of communications do I receive as a client?
