I stopped by to get my battery changed in my watch and from the prior reviews I thought this was a good place. However the person who waited on me fumbled around and could not get one of the screws back correctly. He charged me $19.67 for the battery and sent me on my way. I was highly disappointed with the poor workmanship. I went to Carmel to Weber Goldsmith Gallery, who were very kind and said they would have their Watch person look at the issue, which cost me $40.00 but the watch was repaired thankfully! I highly recommend Weber Goldsmith Gallery for their outstanding level of service.

I took my rings here to be sized and sautered. Gasper is the most knowledgeable jeweler I've ever met. He answered all my questions honestly, and took his time. His business has an amazing reputation. The people who work for him are also polite, knowledgeable, and professional. I am so grateful to have this jeweler in our area and he has been here for so many years. Thank you so much!

A stone was loose on my ring so I took it in. The man was so kind and took care of my ring. Today We went in and had my ring cleaned, while we waited we purchased a pair of earrings. The man mentioned they have seen a decrease of customers due to COVID. I can't recommend this local business enough. Check them out when you're in town!

I got a watch battery that they said was warranted for 1 year. When it didn't last I brought it in for my guaranteed new battery. They tried another battery and said it did work either so it was something with the movement. They said they it needed to be rebuilt and could send it for repair cost of at least $100. When I told them I really like the watch and have had it since the late 90's , he said I probably got my money's worth then. I have been to Gasper's Jewelers many times over the years, primarily to help with exchanging worn watch bands or watch battery repairs. However, recently, I took a somewhat delicate ring with multiple water pearls and diamonds to Gasper that needed to be resized. I could tell it was a tricky job but Gasper took on the project and returned a ring that is beautiful and that I now love wearing frequently. This review is for anyone considering getting a ring resized here. Resizing is sent out of the shop and my white gold ring came back yellow and burned looking on the bottom. When I raised my concerns the owner told me that it was normal and necessary in how they resize rings. I ended up taking it to another jeweler where they were thankfully about to fix it.

The second issue with this place was that they changed the price from what we were told when ordering the resizing and when we went to pay. Overall I felt they were scammy and offering poor craftsmanship.

Great people and beautiful shop! They helped me switch out my watch band that was really difficult to do, definitely takes an experienced hand. Highly recommend!

Hands down the best jeweler on the Monterey peninsula. I had an emergency for my wedding and Gasper went above and beyond and had me taken care of. I wouldn't trust anyone else for my special day or jewelry needs. If you are looking for a jeweler the search is over!

Gaspers Jewelers never disappoints! I recently saw a ring I loved but... wanted it with a different stone. When I asked if it came that way, Gasper said he'd make me one!? Make me a ring ( from Gaspers) I couldn't believe it, couple weeks later my ring was ready. It's beautiful and perfect and all mine. Customer service has gone away in most industries, but you walk into Gaspers , you are genuinely greeted , made to feel welcome and truly get the service you would expect from such a beautiful shop.

Went in to get a bracelet repaired and Gasper offered to clean my ring and tennis bracelets I was wearing while I waited. He took my ring and examined it and thankfully showed me where two of the prongs on my 2.25 carat diamond were worn to almost nothing! My ring was my great grandmothers and very sentimental and I am still thankful.
That was at least 10 visits ago. Any jewelry or watch repair or cleaning I go to Gaspar...the best in town. And my recent jewelry purchases too, his reputation is the best.

Best quality jewelry repair. Cannot even tell for sure where repaired. And while I was dropping off jewelry nice lady behind counter took both mine and my friends wedding ring for the best most dazzling clean for free.

I always struggle to get my watch battery replaced. The gentleman that helped me was prompt and courteous. He even reset my watch to the correct time. If you needs watch battery, be sure to check Gasper's out!

My husband got my engagement ring made there and purchased a wedding band that was in the case. He received great customer service as he was purchasing the jewlery (as he took our money!) and received a 1 year warranty on the rings. Little did we know, we would need that warranty over and over....this purchase was in September 2015 and within the first 3 months it lost 3 little diamonds out of the band that needed to be replaced (luckily under warranty) but along with the replacement we received a horrible customer service experience mixed with a bad attitude and intimidation from the owner claiming

Called for some help, because my setting is loose, trying to get it fixed before a trip, and was told "Go on your trip, and come see us when you're back, we're just too swamped with repairs." I get not having time, and that's ok - what I'm sad about is a jeweler telling me to take my loose 2.5 carat diamond setting on vacation loose! Shame on you. I called Gasper's because they came highly recommended - However even when I'm back, I won't be a customer. Thanks for nothing.

I have been working with gaspers jewelry for over 15 years and always found him to be exemplary.. He carries a fantastic selection of watches and fine jewelry... He can change your watch batteries while you wait... Replace the pins in your watchband in 10 minutes while you wait... He always greet you with a smile and he will bend over backwards to help you

Never, ever shop here. Well, not unless you enjoy being treated like a criminal by the bearded old proprietor for no apparent reason. After going there in search of a new clasp and chain for my grandfather's St. Christopher's medal from World War Two-- and being treated with contempt-- the same man today came out of the shop and accosted me on the sidewalk at the Farmer's Market. He shouted and swore at me that my little dog had-- and I quote-- 'pissed on (his) f-ing wall.' Then he dialled the police while people stood and stared. Really.

Took my wedding ring in to have it repaired on Thursday morning and got a call back Friday afternoon saying it was done. I was amazed! I was told this doesn't happen often, but I was ecstatic to only be missing my ring for less then two days.

The staff were friendly and let me in even though they were not quite ready to open Thursday morning. My repair had been quoted to cost $80 at another jeweler, and was quoted half the price at Gasper's.

My over all experience was amazing and I even got a free cleaning for my engagement ring when I picked up my repair!
