Glidewell Construction is a family owned business that has operated in Boone County since 1976. Owner Rod Glidewell gathered experience while working as a framing contractor. By 1980, he established Glidewell as a general contractor as it is today. For more than 34 years, our word-of-mouth reputation has been built on strong work ethics, superior framing knowledge, personal attention to details and close supervision of all our projects.

Our team maintains a consistent communication with our clients resulting in a smooth execution. For more than 30 years, Glidewell Construction has provided carpentry and construction management on various size projects, from decks and porches to large custom homes. When meeting to discuss your project, Rod will work to design your project or refer you to a local draftsman or architect to help with your planning.

We use new flooring products such as Azek, and we are able to take these spaces one-step further to include features such as aluminum handrail systems. Window and siding replacement are often performed using Pella or Anderson window and cement siding by James Hardi. At Glidewell Construction we only work with products that we truly believe in, and that is why all of these products are backed by extended warranties.
Commercial construction is also offered as part of our services. If construction is needed for a new building or for the remodeling of an existing space, you will receive the same quality workmanship and attention to detail that goes into a custom home. We are from out of state, knew zero people in Boone County, and probably did way more research into contractors than the average person. For months we asked every home-related business we visited for advice on builders. There were maybe two names that we kept hearing repeatedly, Glidewell Construction being one. Even our draftsman, who worked for a competitor of Glidewell's, recommended him because he was so impressed by his work and professionalism. After meeting with Rod, we knew we hit the jackpot. We have used Glidewell Construction for a number of major remodeling projects, and I do mean major. Rod and his crew provided excellent service! They were efficient, finished each of the jobs on-time and under budget and the outcome was beautiful.
