Tompkins Construction has been building in the Columbia area since 1986, with the third generation of family starting in 2004. Tompkins is recognized throughout the community for top quality design and construction, making the home building process easy and pleasant, and providing excellent customer service before, during, and after the project completion.
We are custom home design experts. We can design your home, whether you have a plan that needs only minor modifications or simply an idea scratched on a napkin. We start with the basics, the size, style and room locations then provide a rough plan for your review. We meet and discuss further modifications, repeating this process until we find your perfect fit.
In this phase you can call previous homeowners for references and set up viewing of previously built homes. You may also meet with Shaun and Felicia to discuss your ideas. Meet with us at potential building sites to discuss the terrain and your home location. We will review the plat, covenants and restrictions, architectural guidelines and utility locations.
We would recommend Tompkins to anyone building a new home. The house was completed exactly when they said it would be and the whole process was incredibly smooth and easy from start to finish. Tompkins met every deadline, were responsive to ideas and options and made the building process easy!
I was really nervous in the beginning, but Felicia and Shaun did such a detailed job in breaking everything down for us in regards to the process of building and especially put our minds at ease with the budget.Their crew is friendly and very efficient with their time. We were amazed with the quality of our home and with how quickly we were able to transition into it.
