Anaheim Ballet
Anaheim Ballet's mission is to enlighten and entertain audiences with classically rooted programming and contemporary presentation. Anaheim Ballet provides quality performances to audiences of balletomanes as well as novice ballet-goers and acts as a haven to talented Southern California artists and as a magnet to international talents.

Anaheim Ballet's Educational Outreach and Scholarship STEP-UP! program is committed to the promotion of classical ballet and providing its numerous benefits to those otherwise not able to receive them.
Services
Lawrence and Sarma are dedicated to the promotion of artistic excellence, the inclusion of all segments of our diverse communities, and the sharing of the intangible essence, "More than dance", that ballet has to offer our audiences. Lawrence and Sarma direct the company, AIDF, school and community educational outreach programs of Anaheim Ballet.
Anaheim Ballet School's training methodology is based on the Russian, French, and Italian schools making what the Rosenbergs call, "truly the American method, the best of everything!" A strong kinetic methodology, heavily influenced by movement analyst Joanna Kneeland, is predominant in all classes drawing from the principles of physics and the belief that ballet is a natural system of movement.
Reminder to please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance to check-in and pay for your class. Please review the current class schedule for new classes, class times, tuition and policy changes. Online class reservations are no longer required for the majority of our classes, however you are welcome to continue reserving your spot in class to secure your place in popular classes or to receive reminders!
ABS offers an extended intensive training session for students during the summer when they are less encumbered by their academic studies.

The intensive attracts students from around the world and gathers a guest faculty representing a broad range of training such as American Ballet Theatre, Houston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Disney choreographers, renowned acting coach John Kirby, men's classes, and singing lessons with Broadway and Hollywood voice coach Bob Garrett.Students learn selections from a classical ballet, receiving daily coaching in their role(s).
The purpose of Anaheim Ballet's STEP-UP! educational outreach program is to serve as a catalyst for change in the lives of young participants, a call to personal excellence, and to produce performances which serve as a source of entertainment and inspiration for the community at large.

Whether from the rigorous athletic training program or from the inspiring live performances in schools and concert stages, the youth of our community benefit greatly from the positive messages inherent in classical ballet. Our young people need the experience of standing erect, holding their heads high and moving with athletic and understated grace.

Great class with Crystal and I loved the facility and staff. The flooring is perfect, large studio space, ample barre space.

My 3 year old is a student here, she is taking Pre-Ballet II and she is always looking forward to dance class. I love the fact that her instructor is very patient with all the little girls in her class, she is strict but she knows how to be strict without going over board (If you know what I mean). The prices are pretty reasonable and they allow you to have the first class free of charge, like a free trial to see if your child will like Ballet. After that, if you choose to continue to bring your child each class is $16 per class or you could pay for them in bundle.

My 4 year old has been taking classes here. Some teachers are very good at teaching and managing kids and their time with them. Others just ignore when kids get distracted and don't give as direct or understandable instruction for the age group. This October the prices are raising per class as well. I have mixed feelings about my experiences here but will likely be looking elsewhere for instruction for my child.

The best studio I have ever been to. I've been quite a few dance studios but Anaheim was the last studio I would attend because I would never leave this studio for any other. This studio became a second home and is the main reason for why I love dancing so much. I started out with Saturday morning adult ballet at the age of 13 and had close to no technique because the studios and experiences I had prior to this were all bad. The teacher was so kind and caring. After getting a good grip on adult beginning ballet I moved into ballet 2 (which I believe is now ballet 3 after they moved the numbers

My whole family takes ballet classes - my wife, me, and my two kids. We've been going to Anaheim Ballet for more than 15 years. This is a fantastic place to learn the basics (I'm in Adult Ballet 1). It's also a great place for advanced dancers. Everyone is treated to excellent instruction. Some of the facilities are a bit run down (Anaheim Ballet IS a non-profit service of the City of Anaheim) - but they do the best they can with what they have. One last note - check out their website - 40 million views on YouTube! Real advocates of dance - none truer than Larry and Sarma.

I love Anaheim Ballet's open adult ballet classes. I have been going there for over a year now and it is at a very convenient time for adults with job during the day. As a student however, my inconsistent schedule would benefit greatly with a punch card system.

After 5 years of training my daughter was a good dancer but had no passion for it. We tried Anahiem Ballet and she loved it. The summer intensive was the hardest thing she ever did but loved every minute. The top instructors are not just former world class dancers but caring, intuitive teachers. The biggest jaw dropper though is the other students! There seems to be no rivalry or jealousy. Even the older soloists are friendly and supportive of the other dancers. I have never seen a group of beautiful, talented young women behave like this, like a team, ever sisters.
I have spoken to the male dancers

I have not witnessed any ballet classes in action, but Diane and I just saw the Anaheim Ballet perform the full-length production of The Nutcracker at Don's Celebrity Theatre inside Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, and we both agreed it was the best and most inventive rendition we have yet seen of many Nutcracker ballet viewings. So, judging by the on stage performances of both the principal and apprentice dancers, the level of instruction must be very good indeed! This is a first-rate ballet company, and we now plan to see more of their productions

Our teenage daughter has trained at Anaheim Ballet for two years, and our 5-year-old niece has been there about six months. Both enjoy their lessons and have learned a lot in a relatively short time.

We are very happy with the instruction, class scheduling, competitive pricing, and recitals.

The instructors are very knowlegdeable and handle the full spectrum of students, from absolute beginners to professional performers. Kids classes vary a lot in size, some quite large at around 20, but all of the kids get attention during class. Private lessons are encouraged for beginners to quickly learn

I only took one class here and its def the last one I took there. Apart from the VERY high price/tuition, the teachers aren't so great and move much too fast. I also noticed they don't focus too much on technique.

Having performed professionally, I was surprised when I was asked to take several other classes in addition to a pointe class to maintain training. Clearly these teachers either do not know what they are teaching or just want you to pay more tuition.

It was my first and last class I took there.

That's not to say there are some very energetic competition dancers there, the technique and emphasis is far too much on athleticism than proper technique.

My nieces come here and I was quite impressed with the skill of their students. My nieces have become excellent at ballet and jazz dance. My grandmother, who was a professional dancer in Europe and was trained in ballet, said that this school's instruction was very good.

I just recently learned about Anaheim ballet so I checked it out. The instructors are excellent. Aside from ballet, they also offer jazz and tap. There are classes for all levels and ages. I recently enrolled my daughters after trying out a couple of their classes. I am so thankful for learning about this school because my children will grow so much more here. I am also paying much less than I had been paying elsewhere which is a huge bonus for us!
