We are a small family-run nursery in Southern California. We offer over 1,000 varieties of rare, hard-to-find starter plants, which are intended to be grown on by our customers.
Plants are sent in 2 to 3 3/4 inch sized pots. Be advised that they are not the fully grown in-flower plants that you would purchase at your local garden center. These are young well-rooted cuttings or seed grown plants. If you wish to send a plant as a gift, it's best to check with us first for suitability.

Please be wary of this company. I am speaking about the mail order portion only. This greenhouse could have been great in the past. I recently ordered a five begonias (not one survived) and they came to me just thrown in a box with packing peanuts and heat pack on top. If you understand begonias you know that their stems are delicate. The items should have been wrapped individually in paper. The packaging offered no protection for the plants from the weather or mainly mail handling. This coming from a mail clerk. Other plants might do well but not these. I ordered plants and when they arrived, my plants were tiny and barely alive. One was demolished by bugs. I called to give them a chance to replace them and she told me that cold weather can often result in holes in the plants. I’ve been working with plants for over twenty years and she was talking to me like I was born yesterday. I really wish they would’ve just replaced the terrible plants they sent me. I’ve ordered plants from so many online vendors since covid and Kartuz was the worst by far. I highly recommend giving your business to anyone else.

Bugs on all of the plants. Mealey bugs and spidermites galore. Rosa was not friendly at all. Over text she informed me there were hoya plants and cuttings for sale. Upon arrival I learned, she would not cut giant 4 feet plants alleging they were too small. She rushed me along. When I asked her for the name or species she would tersely say it is on the pot. I would lift the pot and show her all angles with no name. She would then say it has no ID. It’s a scam. The lady named Rosa said they have 3 greenhouses. In order to shop 2-3 greenhouses, you should buy 5-6plants from 1st greenhouse, and same on the 2nd greenhouse, finally we’re done on 1st & 2nd. When we’re on 3rd and last greenhouse, there’s nothing over there than few of there overgrown plants collections and no plants available to buy.😡😡😡

I’ve never purchased from this nursery but wanted to ask a few questions because they have plants I’ve been wanting for about two years. Well I’ll never be giving them my business. Insanely rude for no reason. Completely uncalled for, and by some reviews saying how rude they are in person. I probably wouldn’t even try to visit this place. The service here is rude and unwelcoming. Both me, my husband, and two other people came in only to be interrogated for what we came for. The lady did not greet us in a mannerful way and instead talked in a condescending tone to everyone. Is that how you talk to customers? Also, if you know that you run out of a whole section of plants often, shouldn't you restock those more so that you don't have to shun other customers for wanting them? Absolute rudest lady ever.
