For several reasons, a tooth may need to be extracted. A deeply decayed tooth, a fractured tooth, a periodontal involved tooth, a recommendation from an orthodontist to name a few. Specialized training at Danbury Hospital allows Dr. Bauer to do many of his own extractions at the dental office. There are occasions Dr. Bauer will refer patients to an oral surgeon.
Dental implants are titanium "anchors" that replace the natural roots of teeth that are missing. A wonderful alternative to some traditional dental treatment like bridges. The first step is to determine if your current dental needs would lend itself to the option of an implant or implants. Once this is determined, a consultation with the oral surgeon or perhaps a periodontitis is needed.
We aim to create a relaxing, informative and trusting environment. There are times, however, when a patient who is nervous or apprehensive, we might recommend the use of Nitrous Oxide. Otherwise known as "laughing gas". It is a safe and effective way to address some of dentistry's more involved procedures.

I have been as well as my family, patients of Dr. Bauer and his wife Joanne for 30+ years. Dr Bauer’s office professionalism, caring nature and attention to detail are just a few reasons he is the best dentist we’ve ever had and continue to recommend him to anyone looking for a trusted and accomplished dentist.

I've been a patient of Dr. Bauer's for over 25 years. He and his staff are beyond accommodating and efficient. They are so kind and caring and always ask about my family. Joanne Bauer and I have a special friendship and we share the same birthday. I highly recommend this office for all your dental needs.

Dr. Bauer is amazing. Our whole family (6) went to him for years...now just husband and I. When my then 8 year old needed a filling he handled it with such gentleness and compassion. My son even had to ask me, "Mom, when is he going to give me the needle". My answer, "Oh honey, he already has!" AMAZING!!! To top it off the staff is some of the friendliest you will ever meet.
