Green Turf Irrigation Incorporated is a Design/Build, full service irrigation company located in East Granby, Connecticut. Since 1984, we have served the Connecticut and Southern Massachusetts communities. The company began as a service provider to existing large commercial, golf, and athletic field systems; problem solving, redesigning and retrofitting some of the largest Irrigation systems in the state.
Professional and Informative, each of our estimates comes with an irrigation drawing showing you exactly what we propose. References are always available upon request. If it is from a pond or stream we review EPA, local and state permit requirements (if applicable), pumping options and electrical service needs.
Standard designs incorporate "Wall-to-Wall" system coverage and "Head-to-Head" sprinkler spacing, for a balanced precipitation rate uniformity, throughout the entire irrigated landscape. The design of any irrigation system is the backbone on which all other facets of the system rely on. Product and installation quality aside, a poorly designed system translates into poor coverage or over-coverage.
Water companies require that the backflow preventer on an irrigation system be tested on regular intervals. This is done to ensure that the device is working properly, thus stopping water from the irrigation system from backing up into your domestic water supply. Upon completion of the test a written report is sent to the local water company to notify them that the device has been tested.
Running Test Programs, we verify all your equipment is operating properly. We view your grounds for areas of stress or over watering and make controller runtime adjustments as needed. We also flush and clean clogged nozzles and adjust sprinkler arc settings. This service can be purchased separately or as part of a maintenance package.
