Services
Established in 1978, Leo F. Katz, BC-HIS, ACA, has been working with patients in the Suffolk County Area to treat their hearing loss needs. Having started with a single office in Huntington N.Y., we have now expanded to six convenient locations to better serve the entire Long Island area. Our hearing services are provided by Doctors of Audiology and Hearing Instrument Specialists.
During a hearing aid evaluation, your hearing care professional will discuss different hearing aid styles, colors, technologies and benefits. Your specialist will help you select the right hearing aid for your personal needs. Custom impressions may be taken of your ears, depending on the style of hearing device chosen.
You can be assured that the most precise and best diagnostics will be provided by the staff at OTOhealth. Our genuine care for the patient ensures we will recommend the best treatment to meet your hearing loss, personal lifestyle and budgetary needs- while maintaining the highest level of comprehensive health care possible.
There are several steps that are part of a hearing aid evaluation. If you suspect that you might need a hearing aid, you will first need to have a hearing evaluation. At the time of the hearing evaluation, a case history will be taken to determine how much your hearing problem impacts your day-to-day life as well as the lives of your family.
Once you have selected your hearing aids after an evaluation, your hearing professional will program them, based on a prescription, to meet your hearing needs. This appointment will generally take at least one hour, possibly more, so ensure you allot enough time. It is also a good idea to bring a family member or close friend to the hearing aid fitting so they can help remember all the information that is given and be a support to you.

My grandfather went as a new patient Today 11/7/2019 and the receptionist Anna was very unpleasant , she had a attitude towards my mom and my grandfather (English is there 2nd language ), my mom walked out because she felt attacked and discriminated by her , I have worked with Doctors as receptionist and you don’t treat your new patients in that manner sometimes new patients can get lost and it’s understandable to be a few minutes late , now a days all the patients records Are sent electronically so there’s no need to fuss over a test result , The way Anna handled her self was unprofessional
