We got our start in elder care almost twenty years ago, when our grandfather began showing signs of Alzheimer's Disease. It had a powerful impact on us. A Lady Bird Deed, also known as an Enhanced Life Estate Deed, is a legal document in which the grantor transfers property to his or her heirs while at the same time retaining a life estate with powers, including the right to sell the property. Texas is one of the few states that authorizes the use of a Lady Bird Deed, which can be helpful for estate and Medicaid planning purposes.

We contacted Hale Law Firm about a QIT for my mother who has Alzheimer’s and resides in a long term care facility. After reviewing our information, they determined that we did not need the QIT after all and did not charge us for the time spent reviewing our information. The staff are very kind, responsive and professional. Would highly recommend this firm for any elder law issues.

John Hale has gone above and beyond for me on several issues concerning my deceased wife's will.
I did not realize that just because you and you loved one have a will that leaves all your belongings to the each other ( the normal way that we all do for each other) doesn't end there. You have to jump through hoops to get it actually carried out. Texas law is a bone crusher when it comes down to it.
John saved me literally thousands of dollars that the state would have stolen from me by the letter of the law.
Don't go to alone. Put John Hale as captain of your team. You won't regret it.
