Liz Quinlisk PT
My many years of experience as a physical therapist gives me the knowledge and expertise needed to create a class that is therapeutic, safe, well-paced and suited especially for people over 50 - or anyone who wants a gentle, slower-paced practice. My classes focus on mindfulness, breath awareness, improving strength, balance and mobility and promoting healthy aging.

I use a therapeutic and gentle approach in my yoga classes and they are suitable for students over 50 or anyone who desires a gentle and slower-paced yoga practice. I've created a FREE 5-day video series: Yoga after 50 - so that you can see how yoga can improve your balance, strength, posture, health and so much more.
Services
As a beginner, private yoga instruction allows you to learn each posture in the way right that is best for you. These private sessions can be a nice way to prepare you for joining a group class or can be an alternative when a group class might not be a good fit for you.

Whether you have experience with yoga or are a beginner, private yoga instruction can help you deepen your experience, address health concerns or injuries, and establish a personalized practice based on your needs and goals. When you work privately with me, you will be given a home yoga practice, either in writing or via video, designed specifically for you.
This monthly membership offers full access to all of my weekly live-streamed yoga classes and my on-demand yoga video and audio library. The library will be updated with a variety of new classes regularly. You will be able to view classes and listen to recordings anytime you want, at your own convenience.

I love practicing yoga with a teacher who is also a physical therapist! I have knee and shoulder issues, so I greatly appreciate Liz's gentle classes that allow me to customize as needed. Liz has a beautiful space for streaming her online classes -- very soothing! Highly recommend.

Liz is extremely gifted and has a number of tools in her tool kit. She uses many methods to treat me, which works very well for my body and its issues. Liz is thorough in her use of questionnaires. She is safe in this time of COVID and provides a welcoming outdoor space for treatments. Schedule an appointment if you feel the need to just "feel better", have an ache or pain, or just want a massage.

I have worked with Liz for PT session for more than 1 year and cannot recommend her enough. I had various nerve pain and other issues stemming from a car accident and was looking for someone who would work with me through a holistic approach and not just "throw" me on the workout machine.
Liz listened to my issues very diligently and tracked my progress to ensure I was progressing. I have learnt pain management and other exercises to assist with mobility under her care. I am amazed at how much I have progressed given the state I was in when I went to her first.

After years of back pain and courses of traditional physical therapy with little improvement, I decided to take a different approach. I had the good fortune to be introduced to Liz and her practice. Liz developed a personal yoga program for me that produced positive results. I finally found something that works! I couldn't be happier!!

I tried Yoga once prior to studying with Liz. Having never participated in yoga prior, I had the illusion that Hot Yoga would be okay; NOT. I did finish the class, that was a one time only. I was a little intimidated to try yoga again, but wanted to learn the philosophy & techniques about it. So, I forged ahead to try a class with Liz, due to it being a Balance Yoga class in which balance is wanted I needed.
Liz has such a welcoming & sincerity that shines, making me comfortable from the beginning, during & after class. Liz allows you to act @ your pace, but, demonstrating the correct body form

I've seen Liz on and off for several years for shiatsu massage which actually has significantly helped with my asthma. As a Nurse Practitioner, I find shiatsu to be a great addition to help avoid muscle injury and fatigue. Liz is also a licensed physical therapist and incorporates her training and experience in PT into her shiatsu practice. Liz is down-to-earth and friendly and happy to chat with you during your session or respect your preference for silence. She doesn't use any offensive, scented oils or lotions in her practice and you get to keep your clothes on! She makes sure to check
