This was my first time going here and I will admit I snuck in at the end of the beauticians shift. Regardless, I was incredibly shocked when the redness didn't fade. The photo's are of the eyebrow area from seven hours after the service was completed. The damage will take several days to heal, if not longer, and I made the appointment for a job interview.
Hopefully the redness and swelling goes down before then.

I've been a customer of sleek wax bar for about 2/3 years. I've never had any issues, I've always had pleasant visits until today. 10/4/2021. Had a 6o'clock appointment, checked in about a minute before 6 & was told someone would be out to get me shortly... 20 minutes pass by & not one word from the receptionist (didn't get her name). I had to ask her to confirm my appointment was at 6 after 20 minutes & she says "there was other appointments ahead of you & she probably got set back she should be out shortly" very nonchalant she said something

I came here as a new client today and left very happy! The experience took relatively a short amount of time and was pretty painless. I got the first time client Brazilian wax, and I was referred by my mom who is a first time client and by my sister. Natalie was my waxer and she was friendly and very professional, she even had great music playing in the background. I bought some merchandise after that was suggested by Natalie. It seemed a bit pricey but as a small local owned woman based salon, I totally understood. I will come back, as I loved the cute vibe they had and the non pretentious atmosphere

The esthetician who did my wax was Geena and she was awesome. She was easy to talk to and walked me through what she was doing. She was very nice.
I gave them 4 stars because the person at the front desk told me about 50% off my service since it was my first time. Asked me about gratuity and then told me how much my card would be charged. They don't have a Point of Sale system like other places where you can put in the gratuity yourself and have your receipt emailed/ texted to you. I didn't ask for a receipt. When I saw my bank I saw that I wasn't charged what I was told. When

So I had been to SWB for total Full Brazilian 4 times,
1st experience with Brit, 2nd and 3rd with Frances, 4th with Lau...
I could not recall my first it was painful or not
But between my 2nd and 3rd visit I received painful treatment because I saw the wax it was blue color ,
after a month I tried other place BW midtown to experience different feeling for waxing and It wasn't painful, I saw the wax are different color like brownish.
I'm not expert in waxing type material and not promoted other place but I have to be honest, I don't think the esthetician are the problem because

Since they reopened due to the shelter in place orders and safety guidelines, I was able to get a wax appointment with Jasmine. She's a great waxer and knows her stuff! We always talk about the latest changes to my skincare routine to see if that's impacting my face wax. Only a handful of waxers are doing face waxes due to COVID concerns, it's very understandable and I appreciate them so much! Jasmine is doing face waxes. I'm a member here and they do a really great job. The front desk staff is awesome and I always feel comfortable going in. Sometimes as a guy it might be a little uncomfortable for some to come in. It just sucks because they use to have Saturdays and Sunday's available but now it's just Saturday.
I had an appointment today (Saturday) at 12:00pm but the lady who was suppose to do my wax was 15 mins late. I had to reschedule because I had another appointment somewhere else at 12:30 but their whole Saturday was booked and since Sunday's are no longer an option I had to book for

I usually go to "the chain which shall not be named" because I relocate regularly for work and it's convenient and reliable.
Sleek blows it out of the water. Their wax is far superior and technicians more experienced. Seems like a lot of the technicians "graduate" from the chain and move on to the better sleek. Seems like a better company and my waxer FRANCES had great things to say about working here. She did an excellent job, very detailed, thorough, and surprisingly comfortable as I had let the forest go a

My husband and I came to Sleek for the first time today, we were getting our Brazilian and Manzilian waxes done. The lady who was waxing us was Frances and she was absolutely AMAZING!!! She was super sweet, could hold a great conversation and most importantly she was not playing. She knew exactly what her job was and got it done quick and completely painless. We are most def going back to sleek and of course we are requesting Frances! The whole experience was great overall it was super easy to book and totally worth our 1.5 hour drive!!

This place is amazing for every waxing needs! I made an appointment for a Brazilian wax, which Geena took care of with ease and made it as painless as possible! I appreciated her conversation and patience throughout the process.
The entire staff was friendly. This spot was located in downtown. 50% off first time clients and they even offer great waxing packages!

In all my years getting waxed, no one and I mean no one, has ever been able to work with my difficult brows. They grow wild and have patches of hair that just never grew back. But this woman somehow has worked a miracle and has given my brows and I new meaning.
She is more then a waxer, she is an artist!
Thanks for being AMAZING at what you do and for making every visit so much fun (I love our convos). It always feels like I'm hanging out with one of my besties!

Britni left. She moved out of state. She was the only reason I was faithful to Sleek.
She recommended her coworker, Frances so I went to see her today. And THIS is the mess I came back out with. I already had a nice shape so she just needed to clean it up.
She went over each brows at least 6 times with wax then went to town with tweezer.
I didn't have the heart to tell her that my eyebrows are uneven. Honestly, I was worried that she would ruin it even more. I'll do my best to fix it but I'm now thinking about learning to do my own eyebrows and quitting Sleek Wax Bar.
