I am licensed and trained at Federico Beauty College, Healing Arts Institute, Bella Lash, Lira Clinical, Mac Pro Cosmetics, Usui Reiki, Image Skincare, Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Look Microblading and Salon Jolie Permanent Make Up Institute. I have had a passion for waxing since 2011. I was trained at Federico Beauty College and European Wax Centers and then created JG Skincare.

I scheduled a wax the day I was leaving for a trip. We agreed on a morning appointment a week before I left. The owner cancelled on me less than 12 hours before and texted me after 10pm to do so. I understand things come up but reading the texts, it only seemed she was apologetic about texting me late instead of flaking. I want to share my experience because if you need someone reliable, this may not be the best choice. Local salon prices are similar and will make their appointments. I ended up scheduling with a chain salon the next morning and they were reliable.

I had a Groupon so I texted her to schedule an appointment. The first thing she said was "I am not taking Groupon during the middle of pandemic." This was past February and I have redeemed several Groupon at different beauty salons with no problem whatsoever.
I was shocked with how she responded (definitely not professional) and asked then why she was selling Groupon if you are not redeeming them. Her word was that Groupon screwed her over and she couldn't take her Groupon off blah blah blah.
So I told her

ZERO STARS FOR THIS BUSINESS.. booked an appointment for my mom scheduled for 5/31 at 5pm and it was confirmed per Johnna. Well showed today at 5pm and nobody is here. Doors are locked, she hasn't answered her phone or text messages. But did reply today at 3:45 when asked if she had room for an extra person today. A simple text saying she couldn't make it or needed to reschedule would have been great. But didn't even get that or a response. Completely unprofessional

Just went with Johanna and she's the best!! Her service is amazing, she was extremely easy to talk to and offered great prices. I've been to different places and this by far has been one of my favorites. I will be making her my go to esthetician. My skin feels smooth and looks awesome. 100% recommend!!

I have been going to Johnna for years for waxing. She is clean, fast, and efficient. I have gone to other places out of convenience since I live in El Dorado Hills and no one compares. It's worth the commute. She makes the whole experience enjoyable and I always leave there with a full heart from laughter and a good conversation. She is the full package!

I was SO nervous to get my first Brazilian but she made the entire experience so much better. She even has a numbing spray to help with the pain!!!! Her wax is hypo-allergenic, no strips, and never too hot. She also offers skincare products and massage. Please go see her you won't regret, Johnna is fantastic!! She is so friendly, professional, and clean!!

Johanna did a fantastic job. It was my first Manzilian ever and was expecting it to really hurt but to my surprise Johanna did a great job in keeping the pain to a minimum and saying pain was an overstatement. She is friendly, intelligent and really puts you at ease. I will definitely go back to her again, as a matter of fact, I have an appointment to see her for a message.

Total scam! Purchased a Groupon and when attempting to book my appt and redeem was told I would need to pay an additional 175 as my Groupon price is not honored. How and why does a company even offer one then?
I was within the guidelines for redemption. Buyer beware if using a Groupon. I've never had a bad experience like this with Groupon.

My husband found JG after we had moved away from our usual waxer. He saw Johnna for a back wax and a man-zilian (that I had jokingly told him to try... and to my surprise he did) For such an awkward service Johnna was very professional and put my husbands nerves at ease. She talked to him the whole time which proper distraction is very important when in an uncomfortable situation, and the actual waxing itself was done perfectly, not a hair was missed nor was any skin damaged. I arrived on time to suite 112 for my 1:15p appointment, but saw the sign on the door was for some other company. Nice girl at the front desk said the massage place was in suite 105, as they recently switched, so their business goes to 105 & vice versa all the time. (Weird since I just made the appointment earlier
