Golden Rule Child Care began as a response to the growing childcare needs in the heart of Andover and the surrounding communities. Now for over 40 years, Golden Rule Child Care Center has been providing a safe, nurturing environment where children thrive! Golden Rule Child Care is conveniently located inside of Grace Lutheran Church on the corner of Bunker Lake Blvd & Round Lake Blvd.
Golden Rule is a Christ-centered program. Learning experiences are taught from the Christian perspective that each child is a child of God and that all people are deserving of respect as creatures of God. In accordance with this philosophy, we include prayer, worship, Bible stories and teaching, and service to others as part of our curriculum.

Services
Our toddler child care curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on experiences. We are very fond of our nature-based outdoor play area and classrooms. Each month focuses on a theme, and each day is filled with fun activities that excite and help toddlers develop in ways that give them the comfort and confidence to grow and develop both cognitively and socially.
If you would like additional information or to schedule a tour, please contact Sandy at sandys@graceandover.org or 763-421-1996. Our preschool is designed to provide a foundation for future academic, emotional, and social success. We work to enhance our preschooler's confidence with activities that encourage them to be problem solvers, enjoy learning, and develop a true sense of self.

We feel like we won the lottery! Golden Rule is a fantastic childcare and preschool! We absolutely love the director and teachers. Our son has been in the multi-age preschool classroom and had blossomed. His academic and social-emotional skills have grown so much since he started; already reading at 3.5 years! He loves the daily activities and interactions with kids. The guided free play inside and outside (awesome outdoor space) has allowed for special friendships to form! Communication is reciprocated and we feel very respected. Grace Church's Pastor Johanna gets involved in the classroom and

On a routine basis my little one had to lay on her nap cot for an hour and more if she could not get to sleep. The set nap time is from 1to 3 for all children of all ages. They are not willing to accommodate my 4yr olds sleep needs vs the other younger little ones. After being with this program for 2 yrs, as my childs sleep needs changed the staff refused to change what they do in regards to nap length. They gave me the solution to 1) pick my child up at nap time everyday or 2) find a different childcare program. I did both!...and so have other families.
