Services
Our fleet is several hundred vehicles strong and includes Ford Crown Victoria Taxis, Ford Taurus taxis, Lincoln Town Cars, Ford Suburban SUVs, Mini-vans and 14 Passenger vans. Driver screening for the taxi industry is very vigorous. Not all taxi companies in Suffolk County comply. However, Lindy's Taxi takes driver licensing very seriously and will not hire a driver unless he or she meets all criteria.
With more than 30 years in the airport service industry, Lindy's specializes in transportation to and from all airports and piers in the Long Island and New York City area. We can accommodate a taxi for one to the airport as well as a van for a family of 5 with lots of luggage and a stroller! We can suggest what time you should depart for the airport based on the time of day and the day of the week so that you have ample time to check in.
With a corporate transportation account, you can quickly arrange for the transportation needs of clients, employees and vendors from anywhere in Suffolk County to anywhere in the 5 boroughs. We can even deliver documents if you need us to. We specialize in airport transportation for all Long Island and New York Airports.
There are over 1 million licensed drivers and registered vehicles on our roads in Suffolk County. There are over 550,000 people employed in Suffolk County that commute to work each day. We have our own repair facility and body shop. We do all service and repair work in-house. Applicants must have 5 or more years of driving experience, with minimal incidents.

I had to bring my car to my mechanic and did not have a ride home. My mechanic called Reliable Taxi. The driver, Bruno, arrived within a short time. He was very pleasant, the car was cool and my ride was enjoyable. After reading all the negative reviews I suggest you ask for Bruno if you call. I will be skeptical should I need to use them again if I don't get Bruno.

They gave me a ride from Central Islip to Ronkonkoma back and forth. Then I call two days later to the same place, and the say they don't give rides to Ronkonkoma. They only do that they please, and are not consistent nor reliable. That's not all, they changed their name. Its not called Lindy's taxi anymore. I guess that's the reason they are not reliable either.

They said 10 to 15 min. Then half hour later I call they say the driver is on the way. Another 20min. Go by and they said sorry we only have 2 drivers and yelled at me and hung up on me. Very rude dispatch people. Had to call back then they said they cancelled my ride.

Had to take the train to Babylon because the Sayville trains were not running due to the storm. When I got off the train I approached a Lindy cab driver and asked how much to Sayville train station. He wanted $50.00!!!! Not sure if this is the regular price or if they jacked up the rates because of the demand. Needless to say, I refused to use this cab company. Waited 5 minutes for my Uber at half the cost!! USE UBER. THESE CAB COMPANIES ARE RIPPING OFF LONG ISLANDERS!!

If I could zero stars I would. This cab company is a joke.
My mom had a cut on her nose and the cab driver stopped the car and kicked her out because she was bleeding a little bit. He screamed and yelled at her and my 60 year old mother was forced to walk home. They also took her money because he refused to drive her until she paid so on top of getting kicked out of the cab, she basically got stolen.

Why I have dropped my rating.... Several weeks back I opted to take take a taxi so I could enjoy privacy on my way to my destination. A few minutes of solitude where I could sort my paperwork or send a few texts to fellow co-workers or clients. BUT NO!!!! I find that my FULL FARE taxi ride is not MY taxi ride at all. We stop to pick up not one, but two more riders along the way before dropping me off at my destination. If I wanted to be crammed like a sardine next to people I don't know, I'd take a bus. I also feel ripped off having to pay a full fare for a SHARED ride. Next time it

This taxi service is mentally ill. I have never been so disappointed in a taxi company. I use them from time to time, and each time it is nothing short of a disappointment. If you have to get anywhere at least a half hour late, then this is the taxi service for you. You'll be told that you'll wait 15-20 minutes and you'll be waiting an hour.Save your time, energy and frustration and just try to Lyft, Uber it Juno because it's half the price and a fraction of the time used. I'd give half a star if I could!!!!

Once in a while I use a taxi. Had used another company but saw my neighbor using Lindy's and the cabs were immaculate as opposed to really run down. Had a cab come yst a/m for a Dr. appt. They taxi came quickly but the driver was the nicest person you'd ever meet. My Dr's office wasn't open yet and he made sure I was OK before he left. Nice, incase there was a problem and I needed to go back home. I'm writing because no one writes unless angry. This man was so nice I hoped his boss would see this and give him credit. THANKS Will use again and highly recommend. what a pleasant

I'm not sure how I was going to get charged $50 to go 17 mins from West Babylon to Levittown.
I called a different company and they said $20.
After that my plans were cancelled, so I went the next day and took uber. It cost me $10. YES, $10. !!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I think it's a shame that they're doing that to the locals.

Do not call them. Do not support them. I witnessed one of their drivers run a red Light and a bus stop sign redlight almost hitting a child getting off the bus and crossing. Called the company and got some angry dispatcher who brushed me off. I said why don't you care??? She hung up. They don't care that one of their drivers during cool hours almost hit a kid while running a stop sign. Why would you give them your business??? Call literally any other company.

I haven't used them yet, but am truly afraid to... I called several Taxi's to get a rate from North Babylon to Babylon Train Station... The same guy answered and was so rude and nasty...
I guess he answers for all of them. I can't afford to miss my early train and wish there was another transportation I can get... Does anyone have any suggestions... ??? This company needs to be reported - not everyone has a car... This would be a great business for a reliable person to start! If I use them I will give an update review... Wish me luck!!

I contacted Lindy's taxi as I needed a local ride. The dispatcher was rude and hung up on me. I called back and got the same woman who called me "honey". I asked how long it would take for the taxi to come and she replied "soon". She couldn't bother to tell me if it would be 15 minutes or half an hour. Soon is not really an acceptable answer.

Had one hour to make a train after a local wedding in east Islip, expecting to make a connection in Babylon. I left my phone number to be called at the door or otherwise located on a residential street. Dispatcher said no more than a 10 minute wait. I called after 15 minutes, was brusquely told "she's on her way" and hung up on.
