In 1980, Barbara Zink founded The Herb Shop in picturesque Lititz, Pennsylvania. Almost 15 years later, Barb's husband, Jim, opened a stand at The Central Market in historic downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Barb retired in 2008 and closed the shop in Lititz, but the market stand remains. In 2014, Barb & Jim's granddaughter, Corrie Breen, decided to carry on their legacy.
If you're in the Lancaster, PA area, come see us in downtown's Central Market at 23 N Market Street. Market is open Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 6am-3pm. We just moved into the Lancaster area and have started shopping at ‘The Market.’ I enjoy making teas, both bagged and loose, and The Herb Shop array is outstanding! I’ve also started purchasing my herbs there as I find them to be fresh in addition to carrying some I can’t easily find other places. We found out that if I bring my glass containers, they would be happy to weigh their product and put into my containers so I don’t waste plastic bags. I priced shopped 7 different items and The Herb Shop was definitely less expensive with comparable quality. My new favorite tea leaf store!

We go to their Central Market stall frequently for loose leaf teas and spices. I have purchased several types of powdered hot peppers for my people who like hot things & all have been well received. My wife loved the colorful, fancy peppercorns for our grinder. I drink their teas pretty frequently and appreciate their prompt & friendly service. They have always been helpful to us when looking for the teas & spices we use all the time or for the more unusual products and mixes for special occasions. I highly recommend them.

My family and I live in Rural (bush) Alaska, and it is difficult to get quality spices, herbs and pasta. I heard about this company thru a friend.
