I consider it an honor for you to allow me to help your child have a healthy and beautiful smile for life. Pediatric Dentistry is a journey; a profession I love. Dr. Bekka graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Lehigh University College of Engineering. She then complete four years at University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery to receive her DDS degree.
Stephanie and Dr. Bekka have been happily working together for over 14 years. Stephanie became interested in dentistry why still in high school. After graduation she worked at several different dental offices with every specialty imaginable and in every capacity within a dental setting. She is a wealth of knowledge, compassion and information both in front of and behind the dental chair.
We strive to provide a fun, comfortable, educational, and nurturing dental home for children from infancy to early adulthood. Our goal is to build a strong foundation of good oral health. We understand that many families are busy with work, school, sports and other activities. We make every effort to schedule appointments that are convenient for you.
Pediatric Dentists are the "Pediatricians" of Dentistry. They received an additional 2-3 years of training beyond traditional dental school to understand your child's oral health needs to the highest possible standard.

Dr. Bekka; the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); recommend that your child visit the dentist six months after the eruption of the first tooth or by age ONE. You can make the first visit to the dentist enjoyable and positive. If your child is old enough they can be informed of the visit and told that the dentist and their staff will explain all procedures and answer any questions.

Because of this doctor’s poor treatment, inability to diagnose my daughter’s infected tooth in time and poor job in fixing the tooth, my daughter lost her tooth earlier than she should have. She had so many opportunities ( over 3 visits) in ~6 months where X-rays were taken and her mouth checked out for her to identify any problems. Her inability to read x-rays and properly diagnose an infected tooth is mind blowing to me. I would not recommend this dentist. It should be 1 star but the staff were kind and the office environment is appealing to kids. Hence the 2nd star.

I Highly recommend Dr Tannen! I have 3 very busy boys and they absolutely love going to see her. I can’t say enough about how patient and thorough Dr Tannen is with my boys. She is knowledgeable, respectful and sensory friendly . Dr Tannen is truly talented with children and has gone above and beyond to care for my boys. I can’t thank her enough for making going to the dentist with my kids a positive experience!

My kids went here for the first time last week for a dental checkup after being unhappy with a prior dentist. The experience was amazing.. Very warm and friendly and appropriate for children. TV's in the dental chair (on the ceiling) with selection of Netflix movies. Dr. Tannen is a natural "mom" to the kids. She talks to them, tells them what to expect and makes them very comfortable before proceeding with anything. Kids are allowed to pick from a variety of gifts at the end, and the gifts are good!! compared to some cheap plastic spider rings that we got at prior place.

We recently finished up a series of visits with Dr. Tannen to have my son's cavities filled and I couldn't be happier with our experience. My son (age 3) was very nervous at first, but Dr. Tannen and her hygienist, Steph, were fantastic. They are so friendly and welcoming and really took the time to allow my son to get comfortable. Our first visit, my son started out refusing to get in the chair or open his mouth, but the second visit he hopped right up, and by the third visit he was excited to go! She took the time to answer any questions I had and walked us through every step of the way. Truly

My family has been seeing Dr. Tannen for about 6 years. In all of this time, I have been very satisfied with the treatment she has given my two children. She goes above and beyond to make your visit a pleasurable experience. It is evident that Dr. Tannen cares deeply about her patients. She explains everything she is going to do and why, and always answers all my questions so I understand exactly what's happening. Dr. Tannen has all of the modern dentistry techniques and equipment available. Her staff knows you by name and provides a welcoming family atmosphere. They are very committed to the patient
