The Dan Coy Trio is an intuitive and improvising rhythm section in pursuit of a specific aesthetic vision. It is a vision based on the respect of the swing and bebop language, but delivered with the underlying enthusiasm and exuberance of rock musicians. In the late 1990's, the Dan Coy Trio was created and performed regularly at Smiths Olde Bar.

Since his arrival in the fall of 1996 to Atlanta, Mike Kelly has become one of the most sought after straight-ahead guitarists in the area. Originally from Rochester, New York, he subsequently resided in New York City where he performed at some of Manhattan's more prestigious jazz venues including: Condon's, Birdland, The Village Gate, Fat Tuesdays and Showman's Lounge.

We contracted with Axtell Entertainment for our daughter's wedding (Axtell Strings) and reception (DJ Daniel). Rich is wonderful to work with...professional, personable, and quick to respond to questions leading up to our event. Rich is fabulous to work with, whether he is finding a band for my clients, or leading the Moxie band for a wedding reception. He recently came to a special event for a client that got sick and we created a night for them to relive their first dance and cake cutting. He jumped on board without a second thought. Axtell makes sure all of the details are taken care of and executed to the fullest degree. I love working with Axtell Entertainment and Rich! I look forward to working with them again!
