Our website will help parents make informed decisions about in-home child care, and what our facility can offer for the development and well-being of your child. We also provide a list of food that will be served for the week so that parents can share food experiences at home. VLC believes in having the highest standards in the Early Childhood Field and utilizes all resources to make it attain those standards.
VLC achieved the Silver Circle of Quality through ExceleRate Illinois in May of 2016. ExceleRate Illinois replaced the Quality Star Quality Rating System (QRS) in which we were rated 3 Stars in October of 2013. Per NAFCC, significant research has provided evidence that warm, loving and home-like settings are natural environments for children during early childhood.

Services
Our story is similar to those of other home-based child care facilities. We firmly believe that a child needs a good foundation of active experiences before entering kindergarten. The socialization skills go beyond sharing, and children can develop life-long learning skills when they become interested in investigating their environment and learning how to do big-kid things.
We share our menu because parents aren't always aware of the diverse foods their child eats when away from home. Studies show that when children are offered foods on several occasions, they overcome an aversion to foods they are unfamiliar with. We like to serve a variety of fruits and vegetables, mixed with familiar foods, so that children get a balanced diet of food that is good for them.
