It's ok to feel vulnerable, nearly everyone who sits in front of my camera feels awkward or uncomfortable initially. See that woman in the photo above? That's ME! I scheduled my own personal photoshoot IN 2018. The day of my shoot, I enjoyed being pampered with professional hair & makeup, just like you'll enjoy.
One of my biggest goals when I meet people is to convince them to actually BE PHOTOGRAPHED (whether you use me or another studio!) I cater to those who thrive being in front of the camera as well as those who are extremely uncomfortable with the thought of it. I delight in working with all ages, shapes & sizes.
Our third appointment is your in-person Ordering appointment (for locals) where I come to your home and present the best of the best of your family's photos. During this appointment, you'll select your favorite photos and place your order. I'll open up my specialized software to design something unique to your home.
I love how easy-going Jenn is! And I really appreciated the time she spent with me before our shoot, helping me plan - that helped me feel less nervous about our shoot. Once I got to the studio, my nervousness went away and we both did what we do best! It was awesome! Jenn and I talked about the look I wanted before our shoot.
Once we get started shooting, they quickly feel my own self-confidence - I'm very good at what I do - and that helps them relax & have fun! I coach them every minute of their shoot. They'll go from feeling awkward to wishing our shoot would never end in about 2 minutes. I watch kids transform from shy to 'model' right before my eyes.

Had a great experience with using Jennifer for our family’s senior picture and family photo needs. She made it so easy to coordinate with her with a short time frame, crazy weather and trying to fit in while visiting Naples for the week.
The pictures turned out beautiful and she really did her best to capture each family member in unique settings.
Highly recommend using Jennifer. She did great to make our children shine. Their inner beauty matched the outer beauty only Jen could capture so magically.

Jennifer of an amazing photographer and an AWESOME human being. When my extended family were in town for a short time, Jennifer made it possible to capture amazing family photos of all the groups as well as work with my daughter for some very special senior pictures! Jennifer remained patient and communicative when a tropical storm decided to show up on the day of our scheduled photo shoot. Not only is Jennifer good at what she does, she is also kind and patient with everyone involved. I have a younger daughter and am looking forward to another set of pictures with Jennifer soon!!

Jennifer was an absolute pleasure working with and she made my best friend and I feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera!! She has quite the eye for color and lighting and did such a beautiful job on our senior pictures. We recently had photos taken by Jennifer Bates in Naples, FL and are delighted; they turned out even better than we had hoped! We had bid on the shoot as part of a donation that she was kind enough to make to support a school fundraiser. We took photos on the beach and she was wonderful to work with and made our family feel so relaxed. The lighting on her photos was incredible and she really captured each one of us in a way so that we loved how we looked and were thrilled with the results. Our biggest issue was trying to pick the ones that we liked best out of so many great pictures to choose from

Photo shoots with Jenn Bates are SO much fun!!! Not only do you receive amazing pictures, but you also have fun and feel confident taking them! There are so many different types of shoots to do with Jenn and she is such an awesome person. Jenn is easy to loosen up to and she makes you feel beautiful and enjoy what you are doing. I have done 5 shoots with Jenn, some being with friends and some by myself, I loved all of them. She is very flexible with time and puts so much effort into every shoot. I have had the amazing privilege of being a part of Jennifer's 2017 senior model team. I have been able to participate in 6 different shoots with her. She makes each shoot fun and different than the last and I'm always so excited to get my pictures back. I have to say I was quite nervous going into the first shoot but she quickly made that go away after the first few shots. Becoming comfortable around her was so easy. I highly recommend her!!

My fiance and I recently had our engagement photos done with Jennifer Bates and couldn't have had a better experience! She took the time to meet with us before the shoot to discuss location and what we wanted the pictures to look like and she executed that vision perfectly! She made us feel so comfortable and we had a great time during our session. The photos turned out amazing! There were so many that we had a hard time choosing which to buy! We loved them all!
