Recent surveys reveal that millions of Americans regularly do yoga in fitness clubs, schools, prisons, churches, YMCAs, senior centers, retreats and living rooms. With its origin over 4000 years ago in India, yoga has spiked in popularity in the United States because of its multiple proven benefits.
Yoga strengthens the body, improves the posture, increases flexibility and balance, and creates inner and outer calm through deep breathing and holding poses. With regular yoga, we breathe better. We sleep better. We feel better. And, better still, the effects of practicing yoga are relatively immediate.

Amanda is a wonderful instructor who takes the time to address any issues you have with your body in chair yoga. She instructs easier ways to do a pose if necessary and instructs on more difficult ways to do the same pose if you feel up to it. Both men and women attend this class. I'm seventy years old and I love how I do feel restored after being there! I'm very grateful to a friend of mine who found Amanda and Restorative Yoga for me! Namaste

After reading multiple exercise/health articles on Yoga, I decided to try Yoga at an older age. After reviewing all options near Tallahassee, Restorative Yoga looked like my best option. I chose individual lessons to prepare me for group classes. My focus is golf. Amanda knew nothing about golf, but studied it to decide which poses would likely improve my body for golf. Amanda is a compassionate, practical person. She set up specific poses for me and guided me through each one. She would push me to get the most out of a pose, but stopped me when a pose could possibly injure me. Restorative Yoga

A beautiful, intimate studio with an instructor whose inner light shines bright. Convenient NE location. The classes have helped me learn poses that relieve my shoulder and sciatica pain. Young, older, experienced, beginner - all types of yogis will benefit with Amanda as their guide at Restorative Yoga.

I attend two of Amanda’s classes - restorative yoga on Sunday and chair yoga on Wednesday. Both are excellent, not too difficult for this 70-year-old body, and include a lot of stretching and flexibility-enhancing movements. She teaches in a clear fashion and offers options for more or less difficult versions of many poses. Both men and women attend her classes. I highly recommend her yoga instruction for both new and experienced practitioners. Namaste.

I have had several private sessions with Amanda and can not say enough good things about her. She is so attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond to be sure your needs are met. I am new to yoga, 58 years old, I was very comfortable with Amanda and thoroughly enjoyed my sessions. I look forward to her classes and spending more time with her, I always leave feeling better!
