Services
Capitol View Winery & Vineyards was established in 2016. The vineyard was planted in 2004 and the original owners opened the winery in 2009. Capitol View's owners believe that the winery should be a special place where the experience is so positive that it becomes the location where friends gather, memories are made and some of life's challenges seem smaller.
Medium-bodied dry white with rich & intense flavors of gooseberry, green melon, violet & a hint of grapefruit in the finish. So Refreshing! Row 16 is produced with Itasca grapes grown by Old Cellar Vineyard. The mystical, intriguing Row 16 in our vineyard inspired the name. You will want to hear the story!
Join us for a guided tour of the vineyard, production room, cellar, and the University of Nebraska's research tunnel. Discover how we get the grapes from the vineyard to your glass during this tasting and tour. Get up close views of the vineyard and learn about the different grape varieties we grow on property.
It is the perfect space for a get together with friends or family during our business hours. You can also rent out the space for a corporate event, birthday party or bridal shower. The outdoor space is a place unlike anything around Lincoln. You can enjoy the fresh air, wide open space, and the serenity of being outside of the city! We have a 3 seasons porch on the front of the building and a covered patio on the side. Tables, chairs and umbrellas for you and your group of friends to sit around and chat while sipping on a glass of wine.

Absolutely lovely couple who taught us so much about the wines we were drinking. They answered all of our questions and were just so kind. I also really enjoyed the wines as there were plenty of dry, semi-sweet, and sweet wines to choose from. That way everybody was happy no matter their preference. Highly recommend this cute vineyard!

Absolutely lovely winery and tasting/special event venue. Fantastic panoramic views all the way to the Capitol. Good photo-ops.
A good variety of wines. Tasty too.
Clean and neat tables inside. Plenty of seating with tables on a covered porch.
Large sheltered outdoor seating area with chairs and tables.
Bathrooms were clean and neat.
When we were there they'd just harvested the grapes and the fabric that had protected them up until harvest were still visible. It was good to see that they're properly protecting the grapes to make good wine.

Seems like it could be a nice place but they over charged me for the samplings (paid for 5 but only gave me 3). Also, they let us bring our own charcuterie on the first visit but on this visit they said we couldn't eat it because they had a food truck serving bbq... who eats bbq with wine?. Also food truck opened at 6 and we arrived at 5 so couldn't have eaten it even if we wanted to. Just a bit disappointing.

Well thanks to this place I know what kind of wine I like. The people here were so nice and took their time to explain everything. The wine was great too. They have good outdoor seating options. The only issue I had with this place was the food they served with the wine. We were expecting some good food and cheese to to with the wine but all they had was store bought items.

I have visited here twice since it turned over from WunderRosa. Pleasantly, the owners are very attentive and know about real wine. NE wines are often very sweet with lots of tannin residue. These owners are getting in grapes from elsewhere to create much better varieties. Very quaint little place with a spectacular view. I came here with a friend for a girl's day and we did the tasting. There whites are more semi sweet but good when paired with cheese or sausage. Prices were very good. I just wish they offered chocolates and more options for meat and cheese trays maybe some with fruits or olives

My husband and I love this place! The live music on Friday is wonderful, the prices are great, the hosts are spot-on, and the wine is excellent. We have never had anything but a grade-A experience here. The picture I posted was the sunset on my last visit. They have a great view. Highly recommend!! One tip- it gets crowded on Fridays: bring your lawn chair if you want to sit while you sip and listen. :) ENJOY!
