Always do a "test area" so you will know what the job is going to consist of. How many layers of wallpaper, vinyl or paper, wall surface etc. will determine the amount of work involved. When stripping vinyl wallpaper there are two basic methods. One is to pull off the surface vinyl leaving a paper backing that is glued to the wall.
