Licensed Acupuncturist Marina Doktorman, M.S., L.Ac provides a variety of quality services to those in and around the Clifton, New Jersey community. Acupuncture is painless, utilizes thin, hair-like needles that are placed at strategic energetic points to activate natural, self-healing abilities of the body.
Each acupuncture treatment provides an immediate relaxation. All acupuncture needles are thin, hair-like sterilized and disposable. Usually the treatment is painless, however depending on each individual's pain tolerance and body's location one or few needles may give a short "prick" sensation. The pain may stop a minute later on its own.
Marina Doktorman, L. Ac. understands that you may be affected by a condition which impacts your daily life. She established Pulse Acupuncture to provide those in and around the Clifton community with quality care to improve vitality, energy, and to treat certain chronic problems. A second visit to a specialist confirmed the original diagnosis - the only option available was total knee replacement. Both doctors advised that I return when I could no longer stand the pain. It was the then that I started treatments with Marina Doktorman. The treatments have reduced the pain level to such an extent that I am now able to resume normal activities pain free.

We provide discounted packages for those patients who currently do not have acupuncture coverage within their insurance plans and experience financial hardships.

I purchased an acupuncture initial visit via ClassPass for a total of 34 credits. I am 8 months pregnant and in serious pain. When I called the day before my appointment to confirm, the office manager stated that she didn’t know what ClassPass was and asked me why I was scheduling an appointment on a day they were not offering Acupuncture services (it looks like this office offers dental and acupuncture services at the same location).

I have been seeing Marina for more than 6 years, she is an amazing Acupuncturist. She study and give every case special attention.
I have tried other acupuncturist before but no one measured to Marina.
She got me through back and neck unbearable pain and forever I’m grateful.

I was a patient of Marina Doktorma for about two weeks (October/November 2020), receiving acupuncture treatments for lower back and knee pain. Marina is a true professional. Before beginning each treatment, she explained the treatment options and made sure that I was well informed and comfortable before beginning. Marina is a warm, compassionate, attentive professional. Going to her office feels like a day at the spa. Welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. I have problems with my neck and back and have felt like myself after only a few treatments. The acute pain subsided after the very first treatment. The luckiest day of my life was when I found Pulse Acupuncture. I'm 76 years old and feel like 20 again after I have one of their treatments! Truly if you have never tried acupuncture, you must go to Pulse. You will never forget such a wonderful treatment. I suffered alot with sciactica and now hardly feel it unless I do something I shouldn't. But one visit to Pulse and it's all gone again! There isn't anything Marina can't fix, from sinus problems, back problems, heart and bladder problems. Truly, its a wonder and I highly recommend you try it. No more pills, just relief!!!!

What I appreciate about Pulse Acupuncture is that I was well taken care of and my symptoms were well noted. Some people who are new to acupuncture may not realize that it's fairly normal to leave the client alone after the needles have been placed in the appropriate points to help the patient be calm so don't be surprised as it is common practice. The facilities are well maintained--having visited unkempt acupuncturist offices in the past, I welcomed the soothing and clean environment. If you're looking for consultation or a positive experience, this Pulse Acupuncture is worth a try!

My husband and I have been seeing Marina for over a year now upon the recommendation of one of his coworkers. We both have back injuries, and consistent acupuncture treatments have helped with day-to-day function as well as pain management when I am in a flare up. I started coming to Pulse Acupuncture in 2013. I was diagnosed with Lyme, suffered from sever body pain, and daily fatigue. As a single mother who worked two jobs, I had to do whatever I could to stay strong. Nothing worked until I came to Marina. Without her amazing acupuncture sessions, I don't know if I would have been able to keep on going. Marina's treatments helped me get back on my feet and be strong enough to take care of my little girl on my own.
