We went here for dinner with a group of 4 and we were extremely rushed. We ordered at a fast pace and were constantly reminded that the kitchen was backed up - to the point where they wanted us to order entrees at the same time as drinks and apps (no exceptions)!
Then all four of us got meals, and they were all terrible. We're not a hard to please family but these were extremes - the filet had no flavor, the eggplant parm was 1 piece smaller than fist burnt through, the veal was cold, and the salmon was so dry it was inedible.
We even said something to the waitress because it was so extreme

Can it be that I've never written a review of Le Colonne? We really like this place. It's our go-to restaurant on the occasions when our entire family gathers in Sarasota. Good selections for all ages: pasta, fish, and meat dishes. Good Italian wines. Service is friendly and good.
We've probably eaten here a dozen times, sometimes on Christmas or New Years because they remain open.

We had reservations at 6:45 pm and we were greeted by an unhappy hostess. She asked if we had reservations and when we told her we did and we were sat down. We waited 30 minutes before we went and asked for a server. We waited about another 10 minutes for an unhappy server to ask us if we would like anything additional to drink. We mentioned that we hadn't even been offered water in the mean time. During the 40 minute wait we watched people behind us get waited on, get drinks, etc. We expressed to our waitress that we had been waiting for over 40 minutes and she expressed that they were short

Had the most amazing post Thanksgiving dinner with my family today. The town was extremely packed. The staff was very accommodating and sat us right away. Our server (sadly, couldn't catch his name) was the nicest gentleman and was very attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. The pasta tasted very fresh as well as the seafood. A hidden gem!! The atmosphere outside is beautiful as it was nice and calm, not like all of the other restaurants nearby that were extremely loud with tons of people walking very close to your food. Will definitely be back. Our family loved it! Even gave my dog cold

Sat outside today at 1:30 for lunch. Ordered minestrone soup and a graziella pizza. Minestrone soup was a clear broth based vegetable soup, no pasta or beans in it, was good but not what I expected. The pizza was good but not as hot as it should have been. My guess it sat around before it was taken to our table. Service was absolutely horrible. Saw our waitress twice. Will not return.

In my opinion & experience Le Colonne poses a Public Health Hazzard.
This Restaurant may actually be a danger to the safety of the public. We should have known better because they have two very small bathrooms next to each other and when taking my daughter to use one as I waited outside the door a staff member went into the other and you could not hear any water run after the flush, and his hands were completely dry upon exit - yes, this food preparer did not wash his hands! You can better understand the safety risk as there are no proper soap dispensers or paper towels in the restroom either

I gave two stars only because they had a great singer for outdoor dining.
Three of us ordered the lobster ravioli. We were told it was made at the restaurant. There was no taste of lobster. I believe it was fish meal wrapped in ravioli. Two ordered the filet medium rare and the steaks were over cooked. When the waiter asked how are meal was we told him it was not to our liking. He literally turned in his heels and walked away. Our plates were not removed nor were we offered more water or wine. He did deliver the check..... I will never return to this restaurant.

We came to this restaurant to celebrate our engagement, mentioned that in our booking and when we arrived, they seated us by the balcony window which was lovely. Felt like our own private area even though it was facing out to the streets.

Its out first time in Sarasota and we were craving some Italian food so decided to try this place. We were greeted promptly and seated outside. Let me tell you… this place has delicious freshly baked bread, but also our whole meal was very tasteful and our server Bojan was excellent too.

Wonderful Food! Wonderful Atmosphere! Wonderful Staff! We were greeted promptly, and seated outside where we requested. Social Distancing was enforced and we felt safe eating here. Me being Italian, I must say this is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Sarasota. If you are near the area, I definitely recommend. In the evenings they have beautiful lights that are lit up around you giving a wonderful ambience.
