Rolling Oaks Campground is located 7 miles south of Sandwich, Illinois right along the Fox River. The park has been family owned and operated since 1969! The season is open mid-April through mid-October weather dependent. Rolling Oaks is a fantastic place to visit for the whole family. There is fun for children and adults and the property includes activities such as: playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, and plenty of special events.

During the summer there is music and dancing on Saturday evenings, farmers markets and cart rides. There are also special dinner events like spaghetti supper, corn boil, and pig roast. The campground has outdoor swimming in the maintained lake. There is a propane exchange station, a dump station available, firewood for sale, and a snack bar with burgers, pizza, and other foods.

First of all when checking in nobody was there to check us in. We had to speak to the maintenance person for someone to tell us where to park. We had a 50 amp site and after the first day it would not work for us, it registered e-2 which is open ground. We connected our 30 amp chord and all was good on our side. I spoke to the staff and they brought someone out to look at it but said it had to be our problem all is good on there end. I asked to change campsites so that I could verify this info and they said no someone was scheduled to check into that site today. I just wanted to know if I needed

Spots are extremely close together. Water pressure is non existent. The pool/pond is closed and covered in algae and the playground equipment looks as if you would get tetanus from it. The bathrooms are terrible and other than it being close to the river there is nothing much to do for kids. Worst place we've camped at so far. Never coming back.

This place has a great environment and excellent people... But be very careful of the electrical system here the 2 pictures I posted one of them as actually in the shower that is live voltage that could kill you !. The other voltage is live single phase 240v probably 200 amp service with split Bolts covered in electrical tape. If your child was to grab one of these it would be a giant Flash of light and your kid would be dead. Also the water hook up is 3" inches away from this which is not following the national electric code for electrical ,that would be my only complain about this place otherwise

Cool spot other than the trump / confederate flags & my friend & I had a similar experience on our last night of a deep male voice saying "Hi there" & "Hello" that sounded a couple feet away from us.. but the campground seemed dead empty.

It's a beautiful campground, and the people who stay there a usually very kind people. However the reason I give this campground a 3, is because the staff are sometimes very rude and mean. Some children I know who go there, got yelled at and chased by one of the people who own it, merely because they lost track of time and were out past curfew.

We’re from Chicago and still new to the whole campground experience. This place is like a God send. The last time I’ve had a peaceful experience was in my childhood while living in Texas.
The staff is awesome and very helpful. The grounds are clean and well kept. It’s a great overall experience!

Greatest campground around. I've been camping here for 10 years. Family owed and exceptionally nice and friendly. Rates are reasonably priced. They offer overnighters, weekend campers to permanent. They except all camping from tents to larger coaches. Plenty of things to entertain adults to kids. A good place to get away, to peace and quiet. Starting Memorial Day weekend they open man-made pool and Saturday nite dances. Have rules n regulations like any other park. Very friendly and will try to accommodate your needs or wants. Just put in some pull through sites for overnighters or longer says.

The campground itself is just fine. The bathrooms are never clean though. Both weekends we spent there this summer there were never any paper towels in the restrooms. The restrooms and the showers smell REALLY bad. There are no outlets in the bathroom where the mirror is and no mirror in the shower room where the outlets are. So no place to fix your hair if you want to dry it and use a curling iron. The water absolutely stinks! For what we pay I would think the owners could maybe do a few updates!
No cell service!!!!
The haunted house is a lot of fun and worth the money.

I started camping here well over 30 years ago. My family had trailers there. It used to be awesome. Then when owners son passed. It went to h*ll.! Nothing but drinking partying and fighting. Police always there! Not a family atmosphere!! So my whole family left, and now I'm looking elsewhere!

It's nice the camp sites are large, it has water electric, a small pavilion with picnic table. This has some year around campers, so there are mobile homes around perimeter of camy grounds. Its right on the river. Good if you want to go camping and can't get your first picks. The check in lady was very nice. It has bathrooms showers. Bathrooms a bit dirty, but not terrible, could be just from the day.
