Beware of "notarios/notaries" who offer immigration services! Have you been the victim of a scam perpetrated by a "notario publico" or other person offering immigration services?

The law forbids notaries public and other persons not authorized by the department of justice's board of immigration appeals from handling immigration matters. If you believe you were the victim of a scam, it is very important you report it. Si cree que fue victima de una estafa, es muy importante que los informe.

My mother's citizenship process started on September 2020, during the pandemic. She was told by Carlos she would have someone from their office represent her the day of her appointment . We tried calling their office multiple times last week and this week to confirm representation, but they never pick up their phones. I finally sent them an email and got a call back. I spoke with Carlos and was told my mother would have to go to her appointment on her own since they don't offer representation, because of Covid nor Gloria was taken any people . My mother is worried now since she will not have someone

I have been coming here for years to get help with my DACA so naturally I decided this was a good place to get help with my visa request. I was very wrong. Every time I stopped by, I would get different information from every lawyer about what I did and didn’t need for my case. What finally caused me to give up on this establishment is the fact that I was required to take 2 money orders of nearly $500 to open my case. The day I took them in, I received another list of things they “needed” which included two more money orders of nearly $2,000. Myself being a teen mom, this isn’t easy money

Went 7/30/18. Very nice people, Even the young lady that I met with to “answer” my questions. Loved that she was very patient and kind, but I wish she was knowledgeable and confident when it came to answering my questions. I just wish she actually knew about the topics!
