At Keyuri's, we have taken the ancient tradition of henna and transformed a candle to an object of art. We offer very fine, handcrafted, bejewelled henna candles. Henna is the paint, and candles are the canvas. The candles are exquisitely adorned with intricate, filigree lace-like designs, and entirely drawn free hand (no stencils used - otherwise it is no fun, is it?).
They are further lavishly embellished with sparkling Swarovski crystals and small hand cut mirrors, ans then sealed in 3 stages for a silky smooth and lasting finish with a pearlescent sheen. Being sealed in, the henna will not fall off easily, and, with proper care, can last for many, many years. Each candle is lightly scented in warm French Vanilla and has an insert at the top for a tealite.

Ravie Kattaura has been a henna artist since 1987, specializing in bridal henna designs. Friends and family, however, saw the hennaed candle, and asked her to make some for them. Pretty soon, she found herself very busy embellishing candles, and decided to venture our formally. Ravie lives in Fremont, CA, with her daughter, Simran.

Ravie is a fabulous person and an excellent mehandi artist. Her designs are very neat. She did baby shower mehandi for me and all my friends loved her work. Best part about her is that she does not use chemicals in her mehandi which was one of the most important reasons of going with her because I didn't want to expose myself to any chemicals during pregnancy. Unlike chemical mehandi, her mehandi faded very gracefully without peeling off. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family.
