Sara has always been obsessed with all things weddings and has dreamed of being in the industry ever since she was a little girl, watching "The Parent Trap" on repeat! With a love of organization and clear communication Sara was a great addition to The Standard team three years ago.
When she isn't answering phone calls or emails she is hanging out with her baby boy Leo, teaching her Australian shepherd new tricks and drinking WAY too much iced coffee!As a Rockford born and raised native, Maya is so excited to be staying home post-college and joining our team! With a degree in Event Coordinating, working in the wedding industry was exactly Maya's end goal.

The Standard was the venue of my dreams. As soon as I toured it we knew it was the one. The staff and space were both incredible! The pandemic has made a lot of vendors go through hard times, but Sara was so supportive and understanding when we postponed. She made our rescheduled date so easy and no issue. She let us do a "soft hold" on a date until we confirmed yes and there were no additional fees. We were so sad to postpone a year but it was SO worth it! We had the best wedding 2 weeks ago and everything was perfect and the staff was SO amazing! Even talking to them the next morning about the

The moment my husband (then fiancé) and I stepped foot into The Standard we knew it was where we were going to celebrate our “happily ever after”. Every floor of the building was so effortlessly beautiful. The string lights and crystal chandeliers on the rooftop, the brick architecture, the industrial yet modern feel - the list goes on and on! We toured The Standard in fall of 2019 looking for a fall 2020 wedding. The staff was wonderful and we were blown away with every floor so we booked the next day!
Well as we all know 2020 did not go as planned for many. The team at The Standard was so accommodating and helpful, with quick email responses and a zoom call to explore options. We ended up postponing
a full year.
Our day was absolutely magical and I couldn't have picked a better venue. The only downside is that it's all over now!

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. As a 'covid bride', I went through the anxiety of planning, then replanning my wedding to a different date, nearly a year later. Never in the process did I feel unsupported by this venue. Through all my questions (and many phone calls!), Sara and her staff remained extremely positive and solution-oriented. Making April 24th, 2021 the best day of my life.
