Cats are to be dropped off in a carrier in the morning (the clinic parks outside of Tractor Supply Company in Plattsburgh, NY) and picked up at 11AM the same day. There is a opportunity to request additional services the day of your cats surgery when you schedule the appointment. Due to social distancing protocols - no one will be allowed to enter the mobile clinic.
All the necessary information will be gathered prior to the appointment and therefore the drop off of the cats into the clinic will be a very brief interaction.

Red Fern Spay & Neuter is dedicated towards eliminating homeless animal suffering, euthanasia and overpopulation by providing high quality spay and neuter services to animal shelters and animal owners throughout the North Country region of New York. Red Fern Spay & Neuter Mobile Veterinary Clinic was started in 2009 by Dr. Stacy Lambrinos.
Your cat has undergone anesthesia and surgical sterilization. Please follow these post-operative instructions carefully for the safety and well being of your pet. He/she may still be groggy from the anesthesia at the time of pick-up. Please keep cats indoors after surgery. This will enable them to recover in a monitored environment and prevent complications and possible death from exposure to outdoor temperature extremes.
Every year in the U.S approximately 13-17 million dogs and cats are killed at animal shelters. Millions more stray or abandoned animals never make it to a shelter and die premature deaths from accidents, starvation and disease. In the time it has taken to read this another 60-70 dogs and cats have been killed and trashed.
Spaying; the removal of the ovaries and uterus, is a veterinary procedure performed under anesthesia that usually requires minimal hospitalization. Spaying a female dog or cat helps prevent pyometra (pus filled uterus) and mammary cancer. Treatment of pyometra is an emergency and requires hospitalization.

My vet quoted me $500 for the same procedure this place did for less than $200. I was a little hesitant as I love my dog and want the best for her, and I was concerned about that old saying ‘You get what you pay for.’
The lady that runs this place is wonderful. She returns calls within a reasonable time and has a professional mannerism. She is professional when you drop your dog off. She did a beautiful job with the spay.

We had two boxers. We brought the first one in to be spayed and she got a little aggressive so she could not be spayed. We brought the second one in later that month and everything went fine. They had us bring the other one back and we stayed with her until she went to sleep. Worked out great.I would recommend Red Fern to anyone

Brought our husky-shepherd mix for neuter. He is high anxiety and not friendly. Would have been impossible to get him into a vet's office. Stacy was great with him. Very patient and able to get him sedated. We went for coffee and came right back in case there was trouble. He was done at the exact time she told us to come back. She had no trouble with him. We had no trouble with the incision. It has been as little over a week and all is great. Can't thank you enough Dr Lambrinos for the great service you provide. 🌹💗(We have had our kitties spayed here as well with no problems )💕

She was quick simple and easy. I brought my cat in this morning to have her spayed. It took her about have an hour to set up and intake all 6 animals she had. Told us to come pick them up at noon. Noon rolled around and it took half an hour for her to give back all the pets. She was quick polite and very affordable. I will most definitely bring any and all future pets needing to be fixed to her.
